What is the most romantic movie you've ever seen?

A lot of people like the movie "The Notebook" because it is so romantic. There are, of course, lots of other romantic movies, though. Some are more over-the-top, some are more realistic. Some are dramatic and some are romantic comedies. Some may appeal to certain people because they relate to them better. So what movie is the most romantic to you? What makes it so special?

I love movies in general, watching most genera, but contemporary romance stories for me fall into two categories the Romeo and Juliet category and the When Harry Met Sally category. The Romeo and Juliet category includes things like the Wuthering Heights, the beautifully done The English Patient, the already mentioned City of Angels, Autumn in New York, Closer, I know a lot of people did not like the next two but The Lake House and Sweet September and others which I can't recall but will kick myself for not remembering later. Then there is the When Harry met Sally group that includes things like the funny Something has got to give and As good as it gets, then there is things like The Family Man, Just like Heaven, Sweet home Alabama, Kate & Leopold, America's Sweethearts, Notting Hill among so many. The one that I have been watching most now though is Love actually because instead of one love story there are three. It has all the types in one the tragic relationship, the comfortable love that is tested and the divided heart and it is beautifully done. I am sure though that I have forgotten several, and that many will not agree with me on some of the ones mentioned.

The movie "The Notebook" is a very good romantic movie. I love a movie that is old with Cary Grant called "An Affair to Remember". No matter how many times I see this movie I cry at the end. Its such a heart wrenching story and beautifully told.

i loved the matrix, and i know that conventionally that this is not considered a love story and more of an action movie. but the love between neo and trinity moves me. so yeah there is a lot of action, but in the second installment trinity goes through a lot to get neo back, and in the final installment i cried so very hard at how things went down there, i do not want to ruin it for anyone who wants to see it but there you go there is my vote for romantic movie.

Love jones is a romantic movie. there eyes were watching God was also a romantic movie... I agree with you some romantic movies appeal to certain people because of who they are as a person. my sister share with me the love story of the charaters Janie and Tea-Cake... there love was full if passion, fun, and freedom. A love like that never seems to last long... either life kills it somthing else happen to change the vibe the two people share.

I love Dante's Peak b/c the guy finally finds the woman of her dreams and the kids finally get an awesome dad. I also love Titanic though I wish Jack would have lived. Probably the best one I've ever seen was The Best Little Wh*rehouse In Texas...I love that Dolly (the madam) finally gets the sheriff in the end and goes on to live a happily ever after life with her cowboy sheriff. I've heard of that but never seen it. Wasn't it a book first? I feel like I remember seeing that as a book in a store or somewhere...

My absolute favorite movie is A Walk To Remember. It shows how one person, despite what anyone thinks can change a person. Landon was a total bad boy, and Jamie changed him, and he learned to love and accept her as she was and vice versa. He stuck by her side even more so after she told him she leukemia. I think it just shows how special love can be through the hard times.

as u have sid in another post of urs notebook is way over-rated! there is no real love in dat story.she leaves him inthe first place and sleeps wit another person. then she leaves dat poor fellow to come nad sleep wit the lead again . why did she leave him in the first place then? its a crazy script about a crazy b@#$!h!it did not work for me... for me forrest gump is the best romance movie ever... i can relate to the movie in the sense dat i can never give up on a gal easily! the naivete and the passion is lethal combination and hanks portrayed it perfectly! there are a lot of scenes which make me cry! the scene where he tells her dat he understands love and where he sees his son are some really gr8 scenes! kudos!marvelous movie

Yeah, I thought the Notebook was romantic on the guy's part but not as much the girl's, if that makes any sense. Forrest Gump was a very cute movie!

there are many romantic movies that i have seen but the most romantic one that made me cry is 50 First Dates...indeed, it is a nice movie..actor Adam Sandler made me realized that if you love the person, you sacrifice a lot for him/her..also, serendipity, chasing liberty, and a walk to remember are romantic indeed.....
