Is this true-Michael Jackson showed signs of cracking up the shows?

I'd imagine anyone who had to perform that many shows after a hiatus would show some signs of nervous behavior. Michael Jackson spent most of his life trying not to screw up because his father would yell at him or beat him. The physical beatings may have stopped when he got older and became a solo performer, but I'm sure Michael continued to mentally beat himself up over any mistakes. That kind of stress, coupled with the press about his surgeries and child molestation allegations, for over 40 years will take its toll on anybody.
