donating blood???

Blood is the living fluid that all life is based on. Blood is composed of 60% liquid part and 40% solid part. The liquid part called Plassma, made up of 90% wateer and 10% nutrients. The time taken by a patient?s body to replace it could cost his/her life. Sometimes the body might not be in a condition to replace it at all. blood cannot be harvested it can only be donated. I think I have 5-6 times. I have because a blood transfusion saved me when I was a baby. Plus, it's no big deal to me and it helps others.

I've donated blood many times. Sometimes I've done it to help a friend replace the blood they used in a transfusion, but usually I give because schools where I work are always having blood drives. It's easy to do, and if I can help someone else, then I feel my time has been used wisely.

Unfortunately I'm not allowed to donate blood but I encourage others to do so and I would definitely do it if I was allowed to. I have however donated a lot of blood that is used for medical research and hopefully that helps.
