My friend Padmini is a complete vegetarian (no eggs). Once we went out for lunch, two of our friends had crab infront of her. Padmini was very upset and from that moment onwards she stopped dining with people if they want to have non-veg. Vegetarians: Do you hesitate to dine with your friend who wants to have Non-veg? Non-vegetarians: Do you mind having non-veg when you dine with a vegetarian?

I was a non-vegetarian before and now I am a vegetarian. So,it will not be difficult for me to dine with non-vegetarians.But a pure vegetarian from birth will certainly feel some difficulties like your friend Padmini. They even can't stand the smell of those items and would feel like vomiting. So,it is better for them not to mingle with non-vegetarians.Cheers!

Padmini is a pure Brahmin. She and her whole family are vegetarians. She doesn't like the smell of non vegetarian food, but used to adjust with friends if they wanted to have non-veg. She can't take it anymore. Once she said that she feel pity for the fish I eat. Thanks for the response.

I'm a pure veggie (no to eggs also) but i don't really mind to dine with people who are eating non-vegetarian. Probably i was brought up that way - my mom does not behave oddly while ining with NVs and probably i got the habit But i remember one incident when i invited all my colleagues (99% NVs) and they decided on the venue - i was like OK. But then i found out that the restaurant was purely meant for non-veggies and nobody even bothered to ask what i would have!!!! . I had to survive with an ice cream (which was served in a huge bowl and i had to really look for the ice cream in it) and finally ended paying for a huge bill. From then on i'm careful while deciding on the restaurant - Lesson learnt

I am omnivores eaters..I could eat anything from vegetables to meats..But, now I am cutting or lessening meat in my diet. I like to eat saute vegetables and fresh vegetables salad and with fish fillet. My vegetarian friend are nice and she never show anger if other eaters are non-vegetarian. For me, I have not set certain preferences or oblige my friend to follow my diet. Because every people have differences..we just need to respect their choice. If my vegetarian friend invite me for dinner..I will eat what she eat..The same things in my party if ever I invite her for a dinner. She should respect whatever food we serve..we have separate tables for vegetarian and non-vegetarian..She need to feel or acts like a sportsman..set aside her feeling and respect the people around whatever they eat and she will receive the same respect..

Well, I am a total vegetarian which I have already mentioned. It is actually very difficult to dine with persons having non vegetarian food, (pl do not mind) because most of the dishes gives out a very bad smell which we cannot resist, and some dishes look somewhat different. This creates a feeling of nausea in us and feel discomfort. No problem if you sit in the adjacent table so far as the aroma does not mix with our dish and make us unable to eat.
