Netbook is very popular nowadays. The efficient size and handy to bring. My mom bought netbook couple months ago and I try to enjoy it. Sometime, I miss my big screen in my Laptop, but it is not big deal if we are traveling around, we need small, light and handy netbook. Although we can not play a CD's( DVD and so on), I can say that netbook is preferable to mobile people, like my mom. But for me, a student, netbook is not that useful. I need a big screen because I do lot's of my work and study in front of the laptop screen. So the big one is suitable for me. More over, the capacity of netbook is not that big (yes, you can store your big big datas in your external hard disk) but for me it is problem if I want to run some big application like Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop, ect. What do you think about it? And which one do you prefer? Notebook or netbook?

the only think i like on netbook is the size and the weight..so configuration is really not useful for the majority of people using a computer as well!!So memory and processor in netbooks are not enough smart..they can be ok if you want check sometimes mails, upload contents on facebook and surf soemtimes on the net...but if you need a bit advances purposes than that i guess that intel atom is not so strong and surely memory won't be enough for your work!! So i think i will choose notebook..surely i will see something without a 17'' of display is too much..may be something about 13-15'' but with a good processor and configuration i think i would prefer than normal netbooks so spread now!!

I think you should only get a netbook if you're on-the-go a lot, you travel and go places often. The netbook would be a better option for you. However, if you tend to not travel a lot then go with the notebook- you get more power, performance, and you can do a lot more things with the notebook. Both are great, but it depends on your situation.

Notebook. Netbooks can't store very much and there isn't a drive so CDs and DVDs are out of the question

I am planning to buy an ipod touch. It has only 1/4 to 1/2 power of a netbook. But, its enough to do jobs like reading books, online, storing documents. Its easy to carry too. I didnt even choose a notebook. I chose a computer as it has the best config for the price u pay. Notebook ll be best for apps like photoshop. You could search for videos on how photoshop works on netbooks. googling must give u some videos. U can compare performance and choose urself. Thats what I did to decide that a netbook was not for me.

I never have any idea to buy netbook. I like its price but i don't like its features. All netbook which i have seen so far have no optical drive. That's why i bought a notebook recently instead of netbook. I can use my notebook to play DVD movies, and doing many hard work with my notebook. I still can't understand if netbook can be so successful. But i think it's because of the market target is totally different with notebook's market target. According to my friend's experience on netbook, she said that netbook is useless. She sold it back one day after she bought it. She said that with all of the limited abilities, netbook is not suitable for working. Happy mylotting.
