What if God made a world wide appearance?

Suppose God gets tired of the non believers and decides to prove that he exists. So he makes a world wide public appearance, does miracles as proof that he is the real deal. Now here are the questions - If you are a non believer, then will you become religious? If God turns out to be a different religion than yours, then will you change your religion. Feel free to express yourself. Give detailed reason for your decision/answer.

If you believe what it says in the Bible, VANILLAREY, no one can look upon the face of God. I suppose that if anyone was to appear as a representative of God it would be His son, Jesus. Also, I definitely believe that if such a thing was to happen the scientists and non-believers would do all they could do label it as a hoax. As for miracles, I believe that they happen all the time - they just usually aren't attributed to God.

That's odd, why can't we look upon the face of God?

Hello my friend VANILLAREY Ji, Basically and primarily, it will not go out of my head, that GOD has no reliegion/cast and creed. It is we have made, human-beiongs, that you are calling yourself as "VANILLAREY " and myself as "maygodblessu44"and have many varieites to distinguish with each other by places, customs traditions and think, what one follows is the 'SUPER'. Now just take example of 'SWINE FLU' , if one agrees, it is another way by God to spread disease, what one has to say. Why one does not go against GOD and finds out own solution to control this problem. Everyone remembers GOD and would thank HIM. So our exstance is due to Almighty. Let's not forget about HIM. May God bless You and have a great time.

if god really makes a world wide public appearance, i at most only would believe that he exist but i would not change my religion or anything for him as i believe that what i want i should work for it myself. so what if god does exist. does it makes any different to the lifestyle that you are experiencing now?

This is an interesting and valuable discussion. I hope and pray that god should give a world wide appearance. It will open the eye of all non-belivers and will start everybody believing in one god. There won't be any riots or problems due to religion after that. It will also help to control terrorism worldwide.

In my opinion if god made worldwide appearance he will be in limelight than increasing his believers. He will be the talk of the media, in our discussions and more of a matter of news than being a supernatural. The way the world is going nowadays they just need to discuss something that is hot before something turns up new. You can have newspapers and magazines full of discussions and arguements between atheists and believers. Even mylotters can get a new discussions to discuss such as "Did you see God yesterday when he appeared". We can even mark the best response to more than one. Coming to the fact i am already a religious person so it does not matter which religion god belongs to. God is always god the supernatural power. Happy mylotting.

God makes an appearance time and again, when there are more non believers, Being a Hindu, we believe God will time and again appear, and he has shown in his many avatars, and the time is nearing when he will come again,as per our belief. The religion is not a question for me. I believe him whether he comes in like JESES or ALLAH or any other way because in my religion all gods are one, only his appearance changes for the benefit of humans.

Very well thought out question friend. Firstly I am a believer, so its ok. For non believers, this type of miracle and appearance would surely jolt them out of their idea of athesim. To me, there are prophets and dieties, but God in His pure form is just Bliss, Light and Love. He will have no appearance or one which does not specify any religion. He is God after all and does not want people to leave the religions he sent HIS sons to spread. Hows that for an answer ??

I have wondered the same thing before VANILLAREY and isn't it a wonderful idea? I have had this very thought during difficult times when it has been hard to maintain faith and find the meaning of life. If God made Himself visible to us, I guess the religious would try very hard to refrain from saying, "I told you so!" and the non believers would more than likely still find a 'rational' explanation for the occurrence. Stuart Chase said, "For those who believe, no proof is necessary. For those who don't believe, no proof is possible". Too true.

The moot question is The God's appearence and form in which He appears...the faith believers will then have the choice/dilemma to decide and then will follow the other relevent/irrelevent questions... ..one must be a firm believer that a power like God exists..other questions are simple off-shoots.. ..the appearence theory in itself looks pretty impractical and the entire hypothesis is based on this single premise.. ..it may in the end prove to be an excercise in futility..

if God made a world wide public appearance, then i could become a believer. what i mean is i could believe that he does exist BUT regarding religion per se, i'm not sure if i will become a follower. personally, i do believe that something divine exists may it be a someone or something or something else but not the type of divinity that is presented in the bible or holy book. i stay away from "organized religion" simply because they are organized and there are things that they present as it should be this or it should be that or not this and not that. i'm more for the spiritual rather than the religious where a person can freely believe in anything he wants to but still knows the difference between appropriate and not appropriate (there is a reason why i didn't use right or wrong). :)

As man supposed christs, prophets, preachers, swamis, teachers, clerics, etc. I think those that chose unbelief would remain so. Faith is something that does not need alot of proof for someone to believe. They just trust in that particular belief or divinity.
