An Example of Non News, in the News...

In the last couple of days there has been "news" pieces, blogs and discussion about a Russian submarine patrolling a few hundred miles off the coast of the US. Now, if they were found headed back out to open sea after running a few hundred miles from our coast undetected, it would be news. If some non-government organization or individual discovered the sub and informed the military about it, that would be news. However, the militay monitoring a Russian sub outside of US territorial waters isn't news at all.. this is called, "all in a day's work". If anyone is looking for an example of something blown out of proportion just to either sell papers or cause fear... feel free to use this.

America is known for that friend. I'm not sure why it is condoned here. There is no need for it! Although, there is a lot of action condoned with out need I suppose. It's that kind of crooked journalism that gets good men killed.

I agree it was a non-story but fear mongerers take their shots however they can. It actually was two subs but Russia's Navy vessels have been all over the place for months now. You don't even have to ask if NORAD was aware of their positions long before these subs came close to the U.S., that goes without saying, but let's all freak out!
