What are some strategies to get promotions or raises? I feel stuck at my job right now and want to advance but even being the hardest worker and showing leadership I still haven't landed a management position. I think it's because I've only been working there 11 months, while most people have worked there 3-4 years and most managers have at least 2 years before they get it. I show more leadership than managers, I help managers handle employee problems, and I come up with solutions to store problems before most managers know what to do. Any suggestions would help. This is a fast food restaurant btw. Thanks

You probably will not like my answer, however, please consider what I have to say. I have gained this insight from several years of experience. If you are the hardest worker and make sure that everything gets done then managers do notice. They notice that with you around they do not have to work as hard. You probably will not get promoted in your current company. You will just make your bosses look good and richer. They will be reluctant to promote you because there is not another hard worker to replace you. If you want to get promoted, consider another company. Another company will be more likely to make you a manager. Making you a manager would give them a hard working manager without losing a hard worker. It will be a win-win for them. Your current company probably expects that you will never leave. They will take you for granted until it is too late.
