i think for desktops there are not comparison such as intl win wihout problems on amd...surely as regards laptops amd should follow intel in the development of processor even if i still prefer intel becaus enaturally they are powerful and have nbetter performances....surely i worked not so often on computers have an amd process but when i got it i noticed a bad experiences in pc perfromances may be they was a case and so amd i guess it created good processor too..but fo high performances especially in the multi-cores era i think intel win and so i would prefer intel for the moment!!

It depends on a lot of different factors such as what you'll be using the computer for, ect. Over the last few years it has seemed to me that Intel has achived some huge victories over AMD, especially since the release of Core 2 Duo a few years back. However, I must admit that I haven't been in the computer hardware scene for a few months so perhaps AMD has a new release that rivals anything that Intel has.

Though the Intel is taking upperhand,AMD gives better performance than Intel as it is 64bit processor. If you compare the cost AMD is cheaper than Intel but So many are preferring intel because it always comesup with a new technology, new benefits and always builts a multi tasking components. If you want to run a computer for home better use AMD coz its cheap and fast.

Hi All, I would prefer Intel rather than AMD processors. I am using Intel processor for my Desktop as well as Laptop. It is much more better than AMD processors. I have seen with my friend having AMD processor occuring lot of troubles. Troubles can be because of cooling problem or any such kind of thing. Also I have seen a video (review) regarding the heating problem with AMD, which states that without fan AMD processor will burn rather Intel processor works for some time and turns off automatically. Also for AMD, I heard that it supports graphics but as per my friends experience who is having AMD 64bit processor, its not that better than my Intel P4 HT Technology processor. Regards, Reyas...
