Who need more attention & care

This is a query in my mind since i was a child,WHO NEED MORE CARE A GIRL CHILD OR BOY CHILD?We were two girls and one boy in my family.My father always loved us (girls) more than he loved my brother and my mother always had more attention towards him than to us.Even now it is so.But i always think who need more attention my mother tells it is for boys,because maturity wise girls are earlier and they know how to keep them safe and deal things better than a boy. Is it true ? what do you think about it?
