My neighbor's dog is getting annoying

Everytime I try to sneak out of my house, that annoying dog barks and I get catched. When I get home from school, he barks at me and tries to bite me, our house is kinda fused with the neighbor. You would be scared if you look at the thin chain and the wood of the old dog house. Well, I tried to give him food to stop his barking, but it doesn't help he swallows the food and barks again. I tried to go out the back door but then he would only scrape the wood and bark madly. Anyone got ideas?

you made me laugh tkhang hahaha !! the thing is never stop trying , show the dog that you are not interested in what he does and feel ok with it , coz animals would feel of that according to scientific study that in your situation animals may feel of your fear and they in return never stop annoying you !! If I were I would pretend that I'm fine with his barking , then he would feel of that and stop doing it !! so, don't show him your fear ok !!

Nah, he just wants to tell me like that he's the boss. I want to kick him in the face but he's like 2 times bigger than me.

I had a similar problem. Neighbor placed the roswiller within 10 inches on my side of the entrance. The dog was tied and saliva would drip from his mouth every time it barked. This happen during the day and in the evening and at night. I took out a loaf of bread and tossed the bread 10 inches on his side and the neighbor told me not to feed his dog. I told the neighbor I was not going to deny a dog of food or water that I loved dogs and I walked away. Problem was the dog kept barking and jumping towards me viciously. The dog was loud and scary. I then walked inside the house took out a lawn mower tied a string to the handle and left it on about 20 inches on my side of my entrance, as I continued to pick up rocks and trash from my side of the yard. The dog barked and tried to attack the lawn mower till it could no longer bark and then after the lawn mower ran out of gas I took it back in. I did this and on the third time the dog did not like the sound of the mower and went as far away to his side. On the fourth time the dog was quiet and I walked inside my entrance and he left me alone. I walked to the refrigerator and took out a piece of meat and tossed it on his side the dog looked at me walked over to the meat and ate it and went back to his side. Every other time, I would do the same even though the dog did not bark at me. The owner could not stand me feeding his dog. He was trying to make the dog tough by depriving the dog of people, food, and water. After about a month I stopped feeding the dog since i had already established that I was more dominant. The owner of the dog never complained about the lawn mower but the other neighbor did and I just said that i was emptying the lawn mower from gas. He looked at the dog and he understood and went inside.

You can talk with your neighbor about the dog,and tell your dog is a really nusissance. If he turn a deaf ear to you ,you can tell him that you will ask police to help . Maybe you should be acquaint with dog,get it some eat or drink. When you are friendly to it ,it will not bark with you .

hi it is very easy thing to be a friend to the neighbor's dog. There are some do`s and don`ts in front of any unknown dogs first some Don`ts 1.Donot look at the dog to its eye for long time. 2.Don`t make any hurry movement infront of the dog. 3.Don`t laugh at the dog at anycost it causes negative reactions....etc Now some Do`s 1.Give some friendly approach to the dog owner infront of dog. 2.Give some chewables to it regularly for a week or month 3.Show the dog to your kids(keep in safest distance)while dog watches you. etc....... Have a nice day

I have the same problem at home, everytime I went home this dog from our neighbor barks at me but I always ignore it. I never look at it or stare at the dog or tried to sshhhhhh it. At first, it was really annoying and almost happens everyday but then it stops one day, I don't know what happened. Maybe, the dog eventually got tired and it felt nothing will happen even if I bark to this guy. Maybe his looking for some trouble or action or something. Now I call it the crazy dog everytime i see it.
