Hi codemage, I don't think any instrument is tough... I have learnt guitar on my own. If we have the passion to learn music and have the passsion to music, we will succeeed easily. I usually heard voilin is tough. But, I don't believe. I play keyboard, guitar and flude. I don't think anything is tough but initially it may seems. But it is never a tough job if we have the passion... Have a nice day... Cheers... God bless you... Happy Mylotting...

It all depends on your commitment and will to learn. I played the cello and the keyboard in high school and with practice, I got pretty good. If I went back to try now though, I wouldn't know where to start. Playing an instrument is all about WANTING to learn, putting everything into it and having the patience to improve. It's an ongoing thing. I'm learning guitar at the moment (teaching myself) and I'm finding it harder than I did the cello at first, but that may be because I'm not under the guidance of a tutor.

All the best :) Even I have learnt whatever I know by myself.I never have been taught by anybody.Self learning is the best form of learning.

I don't know that is kind of hard to know, I have heard that the sitar is very hard to learn because you have to get use to the pain in your fingers, I'm having more trouble learning how to use the synthesizer then learning to play guitar, but i don't think that you can stop learning, so maybe it's unknown

The toughest instrument i have tried playing was the guitar. I really don't know why it has been tough for me. I just don't get it how others can remember all those finger positioning on those strings while plcking them. Although they've been telling me that the guitar is the easiest instrument you'll ever play. Well, of course not unless you'll focus playing the classical one which by the way is really tough - based on few friends who plays classical guitar. And for the violin part. Have heard too that violin is the most difficult instrument to play. In my point of view. Indeed violin is one h*ll of an instrument that is actually difficult to play. I do play the violin and i must say it's really difficult instrument to play. But since i love playing the violin it tends to set aside the idea of difficulty. But i'm not saying i'm not having a hard time playing the violin, of course i do. Since i still have a lot of learning and techniques to do. It's just that i think in everything that we do there's always the hardship. ;-]

I think it's up to your musical knowledge. I tried to learn guitar and organ before but it seems to hard for me because I don't know much about music, especially guitar, my fingers hurt badly
