Hard feelings for father

How would you feel if you go to console a friend who has lost a father and all the friend says is 'Ah well, one less alcoholic in the world.'

oh that would be so mean! i don't know how i will react to that, that friend probably doesn't need condolence and he should have had some respect for his father unless he was someone like a criminal or something.

I think it is sad to know that there can be such separation and lovelessness between parent and child. My condolences to you.
