Brooks Brothers, Obamacare and ZZ Top - don't step on the astroturf

I had to post this because I love it. It cuts right through the latest attack on those opposed to Obamacare - you know, the accusation that it's not a grassroots movement, it's "astroturf" and Senator Barbara Boxer's newly coined nickname for them as the "Brooks Brothers" contigency. They want you to think that the people who show up at health care town hall meetings are not a real grassroots movement. But have a look at who showed up to Obama's "grassroots" meeting on health care. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfdZMrHOldI

Today we hear Obama is sending union thugs to townhall meetings. They sneak them in the side door before the meeting starts. Then they were caught on tape roughing up anybody who doesn't agree with them. They beat up a black conservative who was selling buttons at the meeting. He was in the hospital for 2 days.

Yeah I guess it's only black democrats/liberals Obama cares about. I didn't notice him making a statement on this however he couldn't respond quick enough that the cop acted "stupidly" when it can to his buddy the college professor. Hey Carson... you finding any libs??? Run them all off that progressive chat site didn't you!...lol

I can believe it as Jim Messina, the White House Deputy Chief of Staff was heard telling Senators not to worry about the protests at town hall meetings. He told them "If you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard". Maybe he meant it literally.

LMAO! Yeah, those showing up for Obama are just regular folk. They're connected to the people. Okay, I need to stop before I shoot someone! :P We all know what Boxer thinks of herself (Don't call me ma'am -- I earned bla bla), I don't even wanna know what she REALLY thinks about those "astroturf" Americans. Maybe she can find a black person to condescend into a coma. Didn't these so-called plants show up at Democratic town halls... as in their respective base? How many plants can you pack into one function without nary a supporter there to speak up for the poor libs or to at least yell back the so-called plants? Nothing in their mind is "grassroots." It's all got conspiracy behind it. Bill O and Glenn Beck put the Tea Party protestors up to it! And now some obscure website is supposedly directing these better-than-Hollywood actors to town hall meetings to feign outrage and recite conservative talking points. You know, it is extremely easy to see why the progressive, better-than-us liberals think that: They've been doing the same thing for decades! They've been conspiring to send in plants to lay down the turf over the grass. They've been hooking up with actors to do their dirty work since before Clinton developed an unhealthy obsession for cheating with random chubby girls. They think everything's a well(relative)-orangized, four-degrees-deep, put-on show of obstruction for the sake of obstruction because they're the ones who mastered it! Sorry, out-there libs. Not everyone in America sees things the way you do. I know, I know. Being products of your decidedly liberal universities with decidedly liberal friends and in your decidedly liberal adult bubble, nobody would dare question things like cap and sham, taxpayer blood for clunkers, Obama-neo-socialist-fascist care, save and create only government jobs, cater to unions, and free speech for non-naysayers only, but sometimes you gotta take the suit off and come meet the folks where the folks live. The folks, unless they're drunk on the love, proud of the moment, wanting handouts, elists themselves or literally brainwashed, don't want the government running America. Rant over. Brooks Brothers my azz! :P

It doesn't matter if someone like Bill O'Reilly or Glenn Beck says "if you can, get down to your meeting and tell them what you think", if people do, it's still grassroots. The television hasn't got the hypnotism channel just yet. They make it sound as if the GOP went and hired a bunch of actors to show up and pretend to be elderly retirees. These are regular people who hear what's going on and want to make sure their representatives hear what they think about it. On the other hand, the Dems have already started to hit back in that they are now organizing ringers to go stand in at the meetings and shout down the protesters. We hear the protesters are "angry mobs". Nancy Pelosi says they are carrying swastikas. Barbara Boxer accuses them of being too "well-dressed" to be for real. Chris Matthews belittles them with his "astroturf" remarks. But the videos and the interviews show clearly who the angry ones are. They know people don't see things the way they see things but as liberals they believe they are intellectually and morally superior to the average American. They know what's good for us and if they have to lie to get it done, they will. They are sure we will like it in the new regime, once we get used to doing as we're told.

LOL!! Hey, I've argued with liberals all over the place (in town halls {long before NObama}, supermarkets, work, blogs, etc), and I've heard the "I'm educated; I have a degree" thing many times. My favorite response is: "Yeah, who doesn't?" In their world, a degree means they went to an overpriced school, overstaffed with liberal professors, and came away a diehard ideologue. Fun and life experience never entered into it. They spent years learning how intellectuals have tried (failed drastically) to change the world. They should have t-shirts: "I spent over 100k for my degree and all I got was this lousy liberalism!"

More proof of how out of touch the ivory tower politicians have become.

I think this was also the town hall meeting where Obama's Secret Service drove through town with the windows rolled down and rifles pointed out the windows at the crowd lining the street. The average citizen on the street was shocked and afraid.

I LOVE it... Good ol' American sense of humor! I just want to say thanks for making me smile in the midst of my anger at our government...I'm so proud to call myself an American after seeing how even in the middle of perhaps the most important issue of my generation...and the attacks on liberty happening all around us, we still can be humorous and smile. That is priceless...

It's always good to be able to laugh at ourselves, but it's more fun to laugh at them.

My childcare discussion drew some fire. Made me mad, real mad. Did you say rifles pointed out at the crowd lining the street? Oh my!

If after only eight months he's that afraid of his fellow Americans....maybe he ought to rethink some of his proposals. Was there a threat to his life? There will be h*ll to pay if something terrible comes of this...you know that don't you? God forbid!
