"Birthers" Punked - Apparently, a document turned up 'proving' Obama to be African born. It appeared fairly credible and pictures are usually worth a thousand words...um...not this time. Someone crafted a phooey certificate, than posted tell all pics of how it was done, and is now gloating all over the Internet.

There are a number of people in the United States who believe that Barack Obama isn't a born citizen of the United States of America, they believe he was born in Africa and became President of the USA on false documents. In slang lexicon, these people have become known as 'Birthers' and they found themselves victims of a prank recently. * http://washingtonindependent.com/54104/punkin-the-birthers-priceless * Apparently, a document turned up 'proving' Obama to be African born. If 'birthers' weren't so desperate to prove their insane conspiracy theory, they wouldn't have fallen so easily for it. There were several tell-tale signs of a forgery for BOTH of those birth certificates, and anyone with computer access could have found them.

The problem with these 'Birthers' is they allow themselves to get caught up in the passion of the moment and buy into any theory, regardless of believability, or lack thereof. For example, a teenage girl who's heavily pregnant decides to play global hopscotch on the off chance that her half black baby (could have been a girl, no scans tattled the baby's gender) will eventually become President of the USA? That was something utterly beyond most people's mental horizons in those...um less enlightened times. Jim Crow & the K.K.K. was the (at least unspoken) law of many areas for Pity's sake!

What I find silly is that this whole issue has been allowed to go on this long. Questions about his eligibility were first brought up before he was even elected and it has continuously been pushed aside. Why not just produce the original and be done with it? Why keep adding to the drama by refusing. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

Credibility would be better had by discussion of the issues, not the location of birth. At this point, this is getting silly and these people are becoming a joke.

Officially, he did not ignore the birth issue and presented a birth certificate from Hawaii. The African certificates are apparently sketchy to false. There are simple logistical impossibilities involved too. They involve a heavily pregnant woman on a long get-a-bout getting from America, to Africa, then to Hawaii back in the days when reliable flights or other transport was unreliable to Africa.

The fact is that the location of his birth is an issue...and a very serious one and one that he chooses to ignore. I don't think the ppl are being silly at all...I think they've asked a very important question and 0bama is choosing to ignore it, brush it aside and add to the drama. The whole issue could be settled immediately with a release of his records. What seems silly to me is that 0bama is allowing this to continue rather than address it.
