Unequally Yoked Christians

Second Corinthians 6:14 states, "Do not be yoked with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?" Do you think it's possible for two believers to be unequally yoked? I'm thinking of new Christian and a seasoned believer or believers with different experiences, for example.

It may be possible, but the scripture you just used is talking about being yoked with unbelievers. I think we all need each other. I need the seasoned Christian to help me sort through and teach me while I need to be helping the younger Christian. I also need someone who is on my level for plain ole companionship. We cannot isolate one another. Jesus said they would know we are His disciples by the love we show one another.. we have a long ways to go if you ask me!

I agree that we all need each other. This scripture has always interested me because of the unequally yoked concept. I can understand the reasons a believer and an unbeliever might have marital problems. I just wonder if one could argue that all Christian relationships/marriages should be successful because two believers are yoked together. Then one might argue that just because the two are Christians doesn't mean they are equally yoked because of other factors.

This particular passage speaks about partnerships between believers and unbelievers. Two believers with different levels of maturity are not considered unequally yoked. The stronger one should help the weaker partner and the more experience should give encouragement to the lesser experienced. And I guess, this attitude of helping each other out is not just for partners but should be the attitude of everyone in the body of believers.
