Take a guess at who this is....can you tell me who it describes?

I was born in one country, raised in another. My father was born in another country. I was not his only child. He fathered several children with numerous women. I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no interest in me. My mother died at an early age from cancer. Later in life, questions arose over my real name. My birth records were sketchy and no one was able to produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate. I grew up practicing one faith but converted to Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my country, but I practiced non-traditional beliefs & didn't follow Christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny. I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about them. That was before I decided it was time to get serious about my life and I embarked on a new career.. I wrote a book about my struggles growing up. It was clear to those who read my memoirs that I had difficulties accepting that my father abandoned me as a child. I became active in local politics in my 30's then with help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office in my 40s. They said I had a golden tongue and could talk anyone into anything. That reinforced my conceit. I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history, and no experience in leading a single organization. Yet I was a powerful speaker and citizens were drawn to me as though I were a magnet and they were small roofing tacks. I drew incredibly large crowds during my public appearances. This bolstered my ego. At first, my political campaign focused on my country's foreign policy...... I was very critical of my country in the last war and seized every opportunity to bash my country. But what launched my rise to national prominence were my views on the country's economy. I pretended to have a really good plan on how we could do better and every poor person would be fed & housed for free. I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess. It was the free market, banks & corporations. I decided to start making citizens hate them and if they were envious of others who did well, the plan was clinched tight. I called mine "A People's Campaign" and that sounded good to all people. I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside the traditional path of politics & was able to gain widespread popular support. I knew that, if I merely offered the people 'hope' , together we could change our country and the world. So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on behalf of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include "persecuted minorities" like the Jews. My true views were not widely known & I needed to keep them unknown, until after I became my nation's leader. I had to carefully guard reality, as anybody could have easily found out what I really believed, if they had simply read my writings and examined those people I associated with. I'm glad they didn't. Then I became the most powerful man in the world. And the world learned the truth. Who is it being described? Don't just assume you know the answer. Take your time....then we'll talk.

I believe you are speaking of Adolph Hitler and comparing him to the big "0". There are corralations, but I think the big "0" will eventually be more like Stalin with his czars than Hitler. Shalom~Adoniah

Either way, we are in deep doo doo! I just thought it was a very big coincidence...I read an article by Ali Sina, written last year in September that compared him to Hitler psychologically. Mr. Sina calles them both major narcissists. http://www.faithfreedom.org/obama.html

Hi debra, it seems to me that you've chosen to miss out on a few of the early bits which influenced Adolf, no mention of his resentment that his artistic talents were a failure, no mention of his resentment of authority when he was serving in the first war, no mention at all of his prison sentence. No mention of the influences of the rich elite who helped him on his way in politics. Personally I haven't seen your latest president being manipulative or clever enough to turn into another Hitler, and no that does not make me a fan of the latter. I think it is far more likely that another Hitler will emerge in another nation before America, unless there is another catastrophic crisis there which will lead to suspension of all civil rights whilst a national security council takes control of the country. Please spare me any links in your response as I prefer to discuss with origingal thinking.

Hi Debra, one of the reasons don't like links is because people throw them up in the middle of discussions rather than their own opinions, and just because something is in print does not necessarily give it any validity. Here's my take on this for what it's worth. Reading through the politics section on here is about as useful as drinking coffee from a chocolate cup as it all descends into 2 sides shouting and ranting at each other. I rather had the impression that the Bush supporters hated Obama and the other way round, rather than Obama actually being a serious threat of any kind. In fact I've never considered any of the American presidents of late as a threat as they were all woefully inadequate in the intelligence department and the power was obvously elsewhere behind the scenes. I also have the impression that the majority of American voters are apathetic to the whole issues and the ones who aren't seem to put the presidents on some kind of pedestal or deride them totally, so we hardly get a realistic picture from the outside. I cannot see the apathetic majority becoming brainwashed as the Germans were, though as we both agree it is likely to happen elsewhere. So please enlighten me as an outsider as to why Obama is taking on a Hitler like aspect in your eyes.

You already told me once that you prefer 'no links' . I"m fine with that. In comparing the two men it is not necessary that every point of their lives are exact or even similar. I am not the only one who feels this way as I found many sites that have posted such comparisons. I know, NO LINKS...one such site was from a psychologist who had written a paper on narcissisim and it was very thorough. The comparisons are being made, in my opinion, to wake people up to the mind set of Obama....as in all horrible happenings, people say never again! We've said, and forgotten in one generation. There are Americans who know NOTHING or who know and could care less...of what happened in Germany in that time. As for your idea that he is not clever enough, I disagree somewhat. Evil has used the same formula many times in history. And IF he is controled by the same evil influences that brought Hitler to power....the only thing that will KEEP him from being successful is if WE are not fooled like the German people were. There is substantially MORE folks in America that don't trust the government enough to LET it happen, and perhaps this is acting as a sort of 'salt' to keep that evil at bay. I do agree with you that there are some strong possibilities that ANOTHER HItler type dictator will emerge, strong enough to 'take us down that road'. Iran's tyrannical leader comes to mind. The threat of nuclear anhilation is enough to make any people 'kneel'. You mention suspension of all civil rights and the National Security Council...do you realize that Obama took that seat here recently? Contrary to the Constitution which prohibits him from holding ANY other office but the Presidency. I've seen some things going on in America that I am not used to in my 53 years...things that my teachers had told me COULD NOT happen in America btw. Things like the Patriot Act and Congress passing laws to limit our basic freedoms. The media black out on the protests and outcry ...and when something is mentioned on the networks, it is in derision. I think we have a good case for feeling the way we do about this current president...if he's not THAT dictator....he's here to get us used and accepting of, being tyrannized.

I use links because the article or website mirrors what I think..but you are correct it would be nicer to put things into my own words. YOu have persuded me. lol I wish that I could have your latest response up above so I could answer it without forgetting some of your points. I will try to remember them, forgive me if my memory is faulty. I agree that we tend to make our politics two sided. We have become a lazy people...needing to be spoon fed. I admit to doing this at one time...even to falling into it occasionally here. My dear friend EofE...about a year and half ago...got me started thinking differently. lol I do see that it is a much bigger picture than what is portrayed in so many's responses here. I am not a fan of politicians no matter what side they are on. If they're not on MY side, they are suspect in my eyes. I focus on Obama in my discussions as he is the one running things now. It is pointless to discuss, IMHO, the details of what previous presidents have done to take us here, when THIS president seems to be the one drawing it to it's awful conclusion and the dangers are so imminent. I am a work in progress...I am not above changing my mind about things. But so far I've read NOTHING from Obama supporters (except drknlvy's discussion) that would convince me Obama is 'good & great'. They are just as rabid as those right wing nutcases they keep throwing up in our faces.

My guess is Adolf Hitler or Barack 0bama. I don't know much about Iran's Amanadinijad's early years, but he also seemed to come out of nowhere and be the "people's" candidate. Am I warm?

spent a whole minute trying to figure out who obama was being compared to. it's not hitler. with christianity in there it wouldn't fit a communist leader. probably not the pope either . so just the obvious i take it?

i'm not that ignorant. what i meant was it wasn't hitler AND it wasn't a communist leader. so apparently it was hitler then.

HItler was not a Communist. He was a socialist. He hated communists....and blamed the Jews for supporting communism. He had Jewish blood...but converted to Christianity for convenience sake.
