As no one so far gave you the good answer I'll try to correct it. If you don't care about the money the best graphics cards are two cored versions of cards like GeForce GTX 295 CO-OP(Evga's version) or ATI Radeon 4870 X2 (soon the better model will be 4890 X2). Both of this cards are made for gamers and if you want to spend money any of these two are good option. Also I ahve to correct you because you mix general terms. There are only 2 major graphics chip manufacturers and they are ATI and Nvidia. Other companies just buy their chips and create cards with their own layout, but the chip is still from one of the companies I mentioned. This means that you can buy 295 GTX from Evga and you can also buy 295 GTX from XFX. Happy mylotting and take care!

As far as my knowledge is concerned, the best available Graphics Card are of Nvidia GeForce. However I have been using ATI which has been working fairly good in all my games and other stuff. However Nvidia has more compatibility than ATI. So I would prefer Nvidia to be the best in the market. Cant say about the Model No. but Nvidia is the best option to go for.

What will this be used for? What is the budget? I have an ATI Radion 4670 (a budget card) and it plays FSX at 1600x900 on high. So for a £60 card I really can't compain.

Hey, I'm not exactly sure the name of the nVidia graphics card, but I saw one that packed in a tremendous 4GB graphics. It was called the nVidia Quadro FX 'something'. I can't remember the numbers after it, sorry! Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!
