does excuses have something to do with a lie? for me, a lie is something to deceive someone because their doing something bad trying them to believe the truth to protect their REPUTATION or IDENTITY.. example: if you took something valuable from you family and when they ask who took it, you just simply say that you don't know who took it coz your not there that time and that you went out with your friends.. while excuses, your doing it to grant exemption or release for something.. like if im done something wrong and as long as i didn't hurt anyone's feeling or step on someones foot, then that's an excuse. example: if i want to go out to the party and my family did't let me. then that what make me think of excuses. what makes excuses becomes a lie... example: if im late from work, best excuses is there's heavy traffic... heavy rains that make you stock in one place. and it will become a lie if... you have a report that time and you dont want to go early intentionally , like your taking your time drinking coffee, reading magazine knowing that you have report that time and someone do the report in behalf of you. then after an hour you decided to go to work and when they ask you what happened, you just simply said that theres an accident along your way and that your car was stock behind it and need to wait for someone to take off the car infront of you... then that what makes a lie.. those are my own opinion... how about you, what do you think..

an excuse is true otherwise its just another lie or false excuse. lies really dont work because one day you get found out and bad things begin to happen

A lie could be the possibility to CHANGE anything. Because if you lie somebody you could change his/her thoughts. But lie is something that can costs you a friendship. I had this experience some years ago. After a BIG LIE, I "forgot" about one of my friends. We were good friends but he lied me and now we are not friends. Excuses can't help in this situation. And after a lie, they are not effective- that is according to me. I am waiting for other responds, so we can understand other people's thoughts.
