I have a writing star again, for a little while I am sure. I am still at 73% but because I have over 30 articles I get a star. Isn't that nice. I finally got a writing star again! Maybe this month I can keep it.

Hey There, I am very new to blogging as well as a new writer. I noticed that you too are on Helium. How long have you been with them. I joined in mid July and I recently earned a blue creative writing star, a creative writing silver bronze, and was approved for the market place. I do not see any money earned yet. I have only written 12 articles. How are you doing on their. How can I add my Helium link to this my profile site? I look forward to reading your articles.

Getting to the money takes awhile. I think I've made pay out twice in the entire time I've been there. Some have better luck with it than others but if you enjoy writing, that should be your main goal. Ok, the money is good too. Just remember, you will get toppled, climb back up and get toppled again. That's the way things work at Helium. You will have those who probably couldn't rate a grocery list choosing horrible articles over good ones, but the ones who know what they're doing tend to straighten it out-eventually or not.

Oh, dear. I am the last person you want giving you Helium advice. LOL I know if you go to your home page on Helium, you can copy the link and paste it into the profile page on MyLot. I've been writing for Helium for over a year. I like Associated Content better, but it all depends on what your preferences are. Canellita and Scheng write for both and I believe they prefer Helium. If you start a Helium discussion you will get tons of help on mylot. Some of the people here write for the article sites. Like I told Canellita long ago, good luck finding me on Helium because I'm not even sure how to find me. LOL

haha, you should login to Helium and sings Twinkle Twinkle Little Star every day. In this case, your writing star will stay on top! Anyway the most important day is at the end of the month. The writing star must pop out and hang there, so that you can get the upfront payment. Do you manage to earn the upfront money last month? Hope the passive income can help you reach payout soon.

Unfortunately, no. I don't make any money from upfronts on Helium. I am hopeful that I will do something this month but I doubt it. AC is really getting bad. They gave me such horrible offers on four out of 10 articles, that I won't even publish the articles. It's ridiculous. Anyway, maybe I will start focusing on Helium some now. I made some money on passive but not anything like AC.

She did not get it because she is too stubborn! Even now she refuses to keep posting articles to empty titles to get her writing score up to 85%. She still refuses to listen to us.

You know I will never reach 85%. What, am I asking for a raise and you are going to supply the ladder? There is no guarantee that if I write to Helium articles that I will be able to go upwards. We all know how that see-saw goes.

Congrats on getting a star back. I reluctantly went back through my articles and stuck in a bunch of commas and most of them shot up to the top ten. Who knew commas could work such miracles? I even went from a bronze to a silver in creative writing. I have 116 articles and no writing star at 72%. Of course there are those where I've been at the top for some time and no one's been able to knock me down. One of the writers told me she sends her friends to one of my articles because she thinks mine is better than hers.

Adding or removing improperly placed commas isn't a typo, besides it's much easier just leaping the article and putting them in than getting in contact with them. My experience emailing them took several tries to get them to understand the simplest thing and with a screen shot to boot.

Well, I tried to re-do mine with commas and it was voted out as being the same, which was true. I just thought fixing the problems would vote them higher and it didn't. I guess it all depends on who is rating your article. LOL That's really good though, you have over 100 articles and are at 72%. It's difficult to get over 50% when you have people rating your experiences and not your writing. LOL

J you are confusing leapfrogging with typo fixes. When you just need to make a few corrections like commas you can just email helium.

Hi mommaj, I see from your previous response that you are reluctant to write to an empty title to boost your writing score and just want to keep things as it is. In that case, why don't you post a link to one of your articles placed in last place ans see whether your fellow MyLotters can critique it and help you improve it and hopefully get it rated higher too. After all, if it's already in last place, you can't possibly get a worse rating, right?

LOL. That's actually not a bad idea. The problem is, all of my articles are mostly in the middle or better. I wouldn't know which ONE to choose. I would have to do it to several articles. LOL I would really like to make money with Helium but I guess I am more focused on AC because I can earn the greater upfront payments and my pageviews are always between $20 and $30 a month. I am hoping to miraculously improve those as well.

That is because you have way more articles on AC.

Helium must be feeling sorry for you, or maybe they are getting tired of your complaining, lol. But seriously, one more article to an empty title can likely get you up to 75%. If you can get up to 85% you can get another pretty blue star. I am stuck until I resolve my computer issue as this little mini machine is making me crazy.

No way! I'm not writing again until I lose my star. Everytime I think a change will benefit me it bites me in the backside! I'm staying where I am, happy that I got the stupid thing. I don't thing it will do anything for me when the end of the month comes around. I wanted to rate some articles and forgot all about it. Maybe later. Hope your sanity holds in there and your little machine behaves. Hey, at least it isn't a typewriter. LOL

Empty titles. Hey, I might actually try to post an empty title this week. I will let you know how it goes. Helium wanted me to re-do a title because it was too vague. If I am more specific, it may take away from the article.

You are hilarious. I am trying to not be bummed out over the computer situation as nothing I have tried has worked. Empty titles. Listen for a change and stop being so stubborn.

It's hard to keep your rating high on Helium. I don't write much there. Most of my efforts are focused on AC. Although, I'm not hearing much good about ac as of late. Hopefully, I will be doing more on AC and get even more writing stars. Time will tell.

It is very easy to improve your writing score at helium. All you have to do is submit an article to an empty title and voila your score goes up. Try to keep your score from dropping below 85% in order to maintain your writing stars.

I can't find that many empty titles that I would want to write to on Helium. Then, I get sidetracked with AC so I forget I need to put the article into Helium. Usually, I put on ac first for the upfront. LOL Maybe that's why I don't make money on Helium.

Thank you, You have been very helpful with how Helium works. I have two blue writing stars right now and have published 15 articles within 3 weeks and I do 10 ratings after I publish each article. Hopefully, at the end of this month I will earn a yellow rating star. I also did extra ratings too, just because to get my ratings up.

Yeah! That's a great job. I wish you the best of luck. If you need anymore help just ask. I probably won't have the answer if it is helium, yuck, hehe, but I am sure someone here will.

I didn't get the email but at the top of your screen (couple inches down) you will see a bunch of tabs. tasks are in the list on the tabs. If there are any writing jobs they should be there. Good luck.

Thank you Mommaj, I am trying my best. Do you know anything about the MyLot tasks where you can $2 and $3 to write on here? I found it in messages this morning under another writing discussion and am curious as the what exactly it is and how I can find it on this site. I would like to pursue this.
