Hiccups!!! Well not really, but it did seem like it for a while. I don't remember any more if it was on my honeymoon or the year I lived in Germany, but it seemed for a while like every time I'd go into a beautiful cathedral to see the inside, I'd get the hiccups. Have you ever heard hiccups reverberate in a large, stone cathedral? Embarrassing!!! Got any cathedral stories?

OH MY GOD!!!!! I can't even imagine how painful that would be! I mean I've never had one but I know just the regular ones can be quite uncomfortable. I know normally it's a thin tube that they jam in your hoo-haw...... But geeeez a LARGE STONE CATHETER!!! I don't even know how they wou....... What??? ..............oh.............CATHEDRAL..............nevermind.

somehow I don't think thumping makes up for getting stuck with a pin!

Hi dawnald, What I didn't tell you was when we came out of the cathedral, I thumped her for doing that to me and she only laughed, lol! Tamara

Imagine yourself in Notre Dame Cathedral. There's a sign on the door (in French): This is not a museum, it's a church. Please be quiet and respectful. And you're hiccuping away and the French are looking at you kind of funny down their noses...

Do I have any Cathedral stories Dawn. Yep! Like the people that drink the water from the font (despite it almost certainly being a repository for Swine Flu). Or the couple who got up to some XXX rated stuff on top of a tomb. Or the little boy who played "shop" with the High Altar. The trio that had a fight, or the people that like to play follow my leader round the Nave. But curiously I have never heard anyone hiccup. C'mon over and give us a try!

And the new choristers that have their heads bashed against a stone when they join the choir!

The hiccuping thing is long ago and far away, but I can give it my best effort!
