It seems to me that more and more often on the news are reports of everyday items for which we shop are being recalled because of one or another danger they pose: cars that explode, meat that is tainted with bacteria that can make one sick, toys with lead in the paint...I mean some of these things can not only harm one, but kill! This is not a thing I remember happening very often when I was a child growing up. I am not one to be easily alarmed, but this is getting a bit scary.
Have you noticed how frequent these recalls have become? Are you afraid to buy some things any more? Any solutions in mind??

Hello my friend PeacefulWmn9 Ji,
Well, what my hubby says that Jhon Milton wrote two poems in cotrast, one is be-fitting in your discussion
please follow this link :-
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L'Allegro
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L'Allegro
"Themes
According to Barbara Lewalski, L'Allegro, along with Il Penseroso, "explore and contrast in generic terms the ideal pleasures appropriate to contrasting lifestyles... that a poet might choose, or might choose at different times, or in sequence".[7] In particular, L'Allegro celebrates Grace Euphrosone through the traditional Theocritan pastoral model. The poem is playful and is set within a pastoral scene that allow the main character to connect with folk stories and fairy tales in addition to various comedic plays and performances. There is a sort of progression from the pleasures found in L'Allegro with the pleasures found within Il Penseroso. Besides being set in a traditional form, there is no poetic antecedent for Milton's pairing.[8]
The poem invokes Mirth and other allegorical figures of joy and merriment, and extol the active and cheerful life, while depicting a day in the countryside according to this philosophy. Mirth, as one of the Graces, is connected with poetry within Renaissance literature,[9] and the poem, in its form and content, is similar to dithrambs to Bacchus or hymns to Venus. However, the pleasure that Mirth brings is moderated, and there is a delicate balance between the influence of Venus or Bacchus achieved by relying on their daughter.[10]
The poems have been classified in various traditions and genres by various scholars, including: as academic writing by E. M. W. Tillyard[11]; as pastoral by Sara Watson;[12]; as part of classical philosophy by Maren-Sofie Rostvig;[13] as part of Renaissance encomia by S. P. Woodhouse and Douglas Bush,[14] and as similar to Homeric hymns and Pindaric odes.[15] Stelle Revard believes that the poems follow the classical hymn model which discuss goddess that are connected to poetry and uses these females to replace Apollo completely.[3]"
May God bless You and have a great time.

Hello my friend PeacefulWmn9 Ji,
It comes from my hubby, who told me once that in a movie called 'Difiant one's' (1956), how two prisioners became friends though they were contrast in nature (A white and a negro). They were chaned together and escaped during transit, started spitting together and finally they were friends. So Nature teaches us everything. Let's accept 'Recall' as well.
May God bless You and have a great time.

Yes it is so true everyday it seams like something else is being recalled, Big Business just does not care any more about their products, they are trying to cut to many corners, and moving their plants out of the country for cheap labor. Health and well being is not as important as Big Money to them any more.

Hello Dlr. Big business, in some arenas, seem to have thrown quality control out the window, and I feel you are right about money being more important than people and their well-being to some in the corporate world. I appreciate your insights.
Karen
