When you're served a plate of nigiri sushi or sashimi, your dish will usually include wasabi, ginger and a small plate set off to the side. First, pour soy sauce on the small individual plate. Hold one piece of sushi (including the ball of rice on the bottom) and dip the fish side into the sauce. Avoid dipping the rice into the sauce. Place the whole piece of sushi in your mouth. Refresh your mouth with a slice of ginger. Eat sashimi sushi (individual slices of raw fish) by dipping the fish slices into soy sauce. If desired, order a side dish of rice and take a few bites after each slice of fish.

Sashimi is a japanese delicacy consisting of fresh raw seafoods thinly sliced, served w/ japanese soy sauce, wasabi and ginger or sometimes lemon. In our country(philippines) the most popular sashimi are tuna(maguro)and salmon (shake). We dipped it in japanese soy sauce mix w/ bit wasabi and kalamansi(native lemon).
