Fate

Coffee Bean - FATE's cup and my cup. A sip of coffee we share to each other. A toast we always make for a good life and happiness.

FATE. This can be used as another term for Destiny. This is also one of my favorite HP Games on my laptop. But there is more to FATE. FATE is my best friend. I never thought we would be. The first time I met Fate, we were in one classroom way back in 2005. We were both in third year college and just started majoring the same course and we were never aware of the adventures we would be looking forward together. My first impression of FATE was that she was somebody free, energetic, and happy-go-lucky. During the first month of the first semester, I often went only with the few people I knew (who were also my classmates only in first year). I thought we were the opposites. But after several weeks, we got to know each other. Because of one field trip, we got to sit together in the bus and shared food. That's where our friendship began. During the second semester, we decided to join forces in our Surveying Laboratory since we were given the opportunity to pick our groupmates. And joining our team was another college best friend of mine (whom I never thought will be one of the closest people to me), Bhernon. And things just got so wacky for our group (there were 6 of us in the group) and we just played around rushing to finish our field surveys so that we get to make really neat reports (with full colored drawings) that made the other groups sort of hate us, hahaha... Peace... We were just having super fun back then not knowing that our friendship even grew closer. There was another project that we had to do in pairs. So it was FATE and I. As we struggled to plot every contour points for several days, we thought of the final two years left in college and how stressing it will be since most senior year's classes end up until late in the evenings. So we have decided to get a dorm for our fourth year. Fourth year, we did stay in a dormitory ran by Sisters. We were both lucky enough to find a room good for two so nobody got to bother us too much when we needed decent study hours. It was this year where we bonded even more. Classmates. Dormmates. And roommates. We were getting tired of seeing each other's faces (kidding) but not a day did we end up fighting over petty things due to stressing school works, hahaha... For our final year, we decided to invite another Super Friend of ours, Shanee, to join us in an apartment. We could no longer afford to stay in the Dormitory as the Sisters would get mad at us for staying out past curfew time (curfew is at 9PM, and our classes would sometimes end beyond 9! how the heck could we get home on time?!). Now I have 2 room buddies to stay up late with, sing-along with Shanee's magic sing, bust our allowances for a Starbucks cup with the study group (while budgeting lunch by eating at IMAR's for only Php20! hahaha), work late hours for the thesis and design projects... I miss those days. These two superfriends of mine even helped me out during my most painful day. I got hospitalized one time, they had to rush me to the hospital (fortunately, UST has a hospital and we're just a spit away from it). Funny thing was, because of the extreme pain I felt, I hadn't had the urge to tell them that I didn't have slippers on when they brought me to the taxi (as the caretaker carried me onto it) hahaha... I'm just so glad I have them. Fate had my back when I cried over the phone. Fate was one of my Saturday church buddies (along with Bhernon). Fate is my coffee buddy. Fate has always been an optimistic person. She always had the nicest things to say about people. Fate is one of the strongest persons I know. Fate is someone I can always lean on to. Fate is somebody I will always look for. Even until now, we are together. Together in the office. Together we will get out. LOL. Fate is my best friend. I know she is somebody I cannot live without. Fate will be one of my New York friends, she will tour me when I get there someday. I won't have a problem with where I will be staying, that's for sure. LOL. Fate is simply the most pure-hearted and true friend I have.:)
