Honestly I don't think he is the best Hollywood actor, but is probably the best actor when it comes to big characters. This is for me where he seems to have excelled over the last few years, creating colourful and memorable characters. But then if you are looking for the best dramatic actor at the moment I would say it is Denzel Washington as he always manages to add a great amount of tension to many of his movies.

one of the best, not the best. and he is exceptional indeed. they should make him do a superhero movie, not as a superhero but a villain. and to make it really good, the villain who is johnny depp kills the superhero.

I don't think I'd say he's the very "BEST" but he's certainly one of the top "A-Listers". There are so many good actors I don't think I could ever pick just one, or even just five. Some are extremely versatile and some are especially good at playing in specific genres. There are also some amazing underrated actors who aren't quite "super-stars". One who comes to mind is William H. Macy. Then there are character actors who seem to have been around forever and who are in something all the time even though they don't normally play the "romantic leading man" type part. Morgan Freedom is one of those actors who I think really brings something special to every role in every movie he's in. I guess the bottom line is you can't really compare a Johnny Depp type to a Morgan Freeman type because it would be hard to imagine any of the roles they've played as being interchangeable. However, we need both types to make a great movie most of the time. Annie

i think he is a good actor but i don't think he's the best in hollywood! coz there's still a lot of great actors from there...but different people have different say on this, maybe to some he is the best but for some not...so depends on a person's preference...
