Will Obamacare fix this problem? Do Obama, Pelosi or Reid even care? Do you?

According to Dr Barbara Starfield, MD, MPH, of the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health, medical errors may be the 3rd largest cause of death in the United State. "The report apparently shows there are 2,000 deaths/year from unnecessary surgery; 7000 deaths/year from medication errors in hospitals; 20,000 deaths/year from other errors in hospitals; 80,000 deaths/year from infections in hospitals; 106,000 deaths/year from non-error, adverse effects of medications - these total up to 225,000 deaths per year in the US from iatrogenic causes which ranks these deaths as the # 3 killer. Iatrogenic is a term used when a patient dies as a direct result of treatments by a physician, whether it is from misdiagnosis of the ailment or from adverse drug reactions used to treat the illness. (drug reactions are the most common cause)." 250,000 deaths! Every year! That is more than 4 times the number of Americans killed in the entire 10 years of the Vietnam war. That is 8 times more than are killed with guns (both intentional and unintentional). That is 5 times more than killed in automobiles every year. That is 4 times more than the number of people who contracted polio during the epidemic of the early 50s. Sorry folks, but unless a solution to THESE problems are included in so-called, "Healthcare Reform", it is not only useless, it is contributing to the problem. If your solution doesn't address this problem, you simply don't care about human life, or medical care at all.
