When buying cloths i see to it that they match my personality type. I go for colors that match all or most of my moods. I love wearing bold prints, big floral prints and bright cloths. I also pick my cloth for the day depending on my state of mind on that particular day. When i feel gloomy i wear bright colored dress so that it reflects on my mind. How about you?

The way I dress definitely speaks for my state of mind. I've discovered that I wear darker colors when I'm in a somber mood or when I need to concentrate, but when I feel free and happy, I wear lighter colors. I also tend to wear more trendy clothing when I'm in a good mood, with more traditional styles (or even old fashioned ones!) when I'm not in as good a mood.

I have seen people wear dull cloths when they feel gloomy and light or bright colored clothing when one feels light/bright. I should say that i'm like you when it comes to dressing and mood. I'm very very moody and it deeply reflects on my dress and the overall dressing.

hmmm i am not really sure, i wear black all the time, that is to say all my clothing is black, i have maybe 4 or 5 red or grey shirts and that is it. i am also a metalhead who has sometimes been mistaken for a goth. i love the color black i am not even too sure why, i guess i just like the look. so whether i am happy or sad i wear black. in all honesty though, if i was forced to wear anything either than the black then that indeed would be a most sad day for me.

LOL so you are fond of blacks - hmmmmm - so are you a mysterious person? Do you keep your secrets to your self? Well i'm just trying to do color psychology. Well i just flicked it from about.com - Considered the negation of color, black is conservative, goes well with almost any color except the very dark. The color black can also be mysterious, sexy, and sophisticated. I love wearing black - i just look slim

In this respect, I would go for function rather than form. I mean, I dont wear specific colors because it reflects my mood or state of mind on that day. I choose the color depending on how tan I got from playing outdoors and the weather. I mean, if I got really tan, I avoid wearing colors that make me seem even darker. I mostly go for solid colors as well or a good solid background with a cool graffiti print somewhere on the shirt. Im not sure if that would fit into my personality or something but the print on the shirt would cause sometimes its a statement tee.LOL

Hey there. I have never really thought about whether my clothing reflects my state of mind. I love to wear feminine clothes that make me feel womanly and sexy if I can afford to. I have so many comfy and cheaper clothes. Unfortunatley the way I dress is largelydictated to what I have available. I would love to shop more and get brighter feminine clothing but cant afford to. Maybe one day when I win the lotto!!!

But i'm sure that you would have bought cloths depending on your color preferences and dressing tastes. So, i think that is the part when your state of mind/persoanlity speaks when you buy cloths. I wish you all the best for the lotto and do tell us when it happens. We would join you in your happiness :)

I actually believe that the way you dress matches your personality and your state of mind. Generally when you buy clothes, you generally buy from your personality, and when you wear something for the day it generally says your state of mind for the day, so I guess it speaks both ways.

This is an interesting topic. I think my dress speaks about my state of mind. Not only dress but also the way I arrange myslef - makeup, the way I arrange hair, hand bag, etc. speak my state of mind. If I am very happy, it refletcs in my dress for sure. Also, I dress sometimes for occassions. I don't go for a wedding reception in bad clothes even if I am sad or upset.

When shopping for a dress, I focus on the cut and style of the dress before I look at the color and pattern. To me, those things come second.

I guess a lot depends on the mood I am in when I'm shopping. How often have I gone through the clothes in my closet and wondered why on earth I bought that!!! My first choice is to pick clothes that look and feel comfortable. They may not always be the prettiest but when you have to spend all day in them (I'm talking about a 9-hour day at work), I guess 'comfort' is an issue. So, I guess, most of the time, my clothes reflect my preference for comfort. As to what I choose to wear on a particular day, it does, to an extent, reflect my mood. For instance, if it's a rainy, gloomy day, I enjoy wearing bright oranges and yellows; I guess it's my way of bringing some brightness into a grey day. So that is a characteristic I share with you, Divkris!
