Question for Hindus

United States
November 13, 2006 9:21am CST
I was listening to a book on tape by Deepak Chopra, and he was talking about his father's death. He briefly spoke of a custom in India to crush the skull of the dead. Can anyone tell me more about this - how it is done? Why it is done? The meaning behind it? I'm not hear to judge, I genuinely want to learn.

I am a hindu but never heard of this. I don't think this is religious but more of culture. We hindu has more divisions into subcultures, each of which is followed by different region of INDIA. good luck
