It is said someone in Florida is killing horses for meat. A horse geronimo was found tied to a palmtree. You think they would show the horse a little dignaty. I guess there is a black market for everything, however I did not think there was one for horse meat. They say 1 pound of horse meat goes for 7 to 10 dollars. I don't think I would eat horse meat if I knew that is what it is. Would you eat horse meat or have you eaten it.

No, I dont eat meat as it happens - its not a big 'principle' thing, I just dont want to eat it - but, if its ok to eat the flesh of so many other animals, why would your average carnivore consider it unacceptable to eat horse meat. Granted, its not good to just find one tied up to a palm tree to be killed but, how much dignity is shown to cows/sheep/pigs/chickens/turkeys etc when they are slaughtered?

I guess growing up you are told certain animals should not be eaten like pork but you are right we human do eat it. I think also it goes by culture. certain cultures eat what certain cultures think is out of the ordanary. The thing that bothers me the most is the fact this was someone pet or property it was not from a farm. would they like it if the horse start killing their family for food.
