When did the last time you completely clean your pantry ( food storage )

It's hot outside, my kids doesn't wanna play outside. Too HOT ! I saw my food storage need little bit organizing, well the little project become a huge one, when I decide might as well to pull out everything and clean every corner of it. And wow, I have to get extra trash bag ready. I found an oatmeal box hiding with expiration date September 2008. YIKES !
I end up read all the expiration dates on every boxes, every cans that I have and I found about 10 more items that probably might give you a bad stomache if you eat them.LOL...So, how about yours? When the last time you "organize" your pantry?

I clean it every month since I buy groceries monthly for our montlhy needs, I see to it also if theres any thing left in the storage before I buy a new one, we need to consume first the left over can goods so that no one will spoil. We need to check it monthly so that all of our foods will be new, arrange it in order, from smaller to bigger one, those who left last month will be use first for another month. We need to be observative and most of all wise on selectiong some products to be keep, other wise will will expense too much.

Interesting topic, we just cleaned ours out right before my mother came to visit last month.
It's funny how you just plan to clean out a couple of things here and there, you start with a little simple project, and then it ends up being huge. I don't know how many times I have thought, I'll just do this real quick. And then the next thing I know I have dug in way to deep to stop now...and it needs done anyways, so you just keep going and finish the huge task.
All in all, you really feel a sense of accomplishment when you finish. Even though it ends up taking a lot longer than you thought it would. :)

Probably in spring. But I'm over due anyway and while my pantry is a bit thin it's a good time to wipe stuff down and get rid of old stuff.
