According to the chariman of the legislative committee investigating Gov Sanford, he broke state law by charging the taxpayers for expensive flights, and traveling in first class. Do you think that it is time for Gov Sanford to step down, or be impeached do to his actions?

I can't stand the man. I don't care what they do to him. Throw his butt in jail!

I couldn't agree more with you. But, first they need to get him out of office, and that doesn't look like that is going to happen.

Though the affiar was only a personal shame and disgrace for the governo and was no base for a resignation, THIS is very much so. I don't live in his state and the people of his state are certainly entitled to have who ever they wish representing them. But it would seem to me his actions are certianly worthy of impeachment and prosecution.
But this speaks to a much larger problem. This is a symptom of a cancer that has taken over our state governments. The only way to take back this country is to do it through our states. As long as we keep electing state governors and state legislators who are corrupt and criminal, we can forget about taking this country back. I have come to expect corruption in D.C. but the states are suposed to be our first and last line of defense against that corruption, how can we depend on them to defend us against it when they themselves are becomming just as bad?

I have to agree with piasa. The articles I read, he sure doesn't seem the frugal governor he made himself out to be.
