I have decided for sure that when I return it will be in the healthcare field and instead of nursing school I am thinking of continuing on for my MBA in healthcare management. Mainly because I have found an online course that checks out legitamately and it is something I can do around my fulltime schedule as opposed to nursing school. Have any of you flip flopped between two different career paths and returning to school? It is a big decision especially in today's economy.

It is a tough decision, you should look for something related to health care because everybody gets sick and needs care at some point. Also look for something that is related to the service industry, people are customers, patients, employees and everybody wants great service. I wanted to go to law school but I decided against it, sometimes I wish I had gone and then there are times I'm glad I didn't.

Yeah it's a tough decision. And I still am back and forth on it. probably will be until the day I sign up. I have a January deadline for myself. But I like the idea of administration because I feel like I know the other side of the job very well and can make a difference for not only the customers/patients but also the workers. Law is an interesting field also. It's never too late you could always take some online stuff towards it. I checked out Univ of Phoenix. The BBB gives a great rating on them and they are accredited. Good luck to ya. and thanks for responding.

Yes, today's economy makes a lot of people think trice about what they should do. If you mention nursing school, I think (only think, I don't exactly know the reality in market) job prospect for nurse is high enough in some countries. I've heard that in Australia, you can earn roughly 5000 AUD a month. For me, that's impressive. But finishing it is not easy thing to do. If you want to choose different career paths, consider a lot of think which can support yourself. Especially those who are going to take employment, unless you'll be self-employed.
