Random calls from Arizona?

Canada

I'm fairly certain these are a product of me signing up for some offer on a paid-to something or other website... ya, I should know better, but meh... Just wondering if anyone else gets 5-10 calls a day from some number in Arizona. I never pick it up because I don't want to pay the extra cost, so I don't know what service it is. Was hoping someone around here might have gotten the same phone calls and know where they might be coming from so I can try and cancel them. They're rather annoying.

I used to get calls from filling out offers on paid-to sites. Then I learned about k7.net. You can get a free phone number there to use to fill out offers. It helps a lot. Most of the calls i got were from universities. The only way I realized to get rid of them was to answer the call and say I wasn't interested and that they got my phone number because I was filling out an offer online. After that, nobody called me!

You pay an extra cost for answering your phone? It may be worth it to answer and see what is happening, or even just to tell them to put you are their DO NOT call list. Cheers.

Ahh I see. I keep a vonage line, Voip. So I don't worry about such things. I make and receive phone calls from all over the world. If you are answering the call though, depending on your provider, it will only cost you air time. Not long distance so that should be okay. To be honest I don't really think there is much of a difference between the States and Canada when it comes to phone calls, We do use the same country code after all... Cheers.

I don't have a landline, so I pay for incoming calls as well as outgoing calls... but my plan currently covers 100 daytime minutes, unlimited evenings and unlimited weekends nation wide - problem is I'm Canadian, so calls from the US aren't covered in that plan. I'm considering picking it up and telling them to stop calling, but I have to figure out what that will cost me first. Didn't really look into it before, because there really isn't anyone I know in the US who would be calling me.
