Would you like and love yourself more if you look better?

Sometimes i feel maybe i can like myself more if i can be as beautiful like other beautiful people out there. not necessarily celebrities. i feel that beauty and looks brings out confidence in us and make more likeable and bring more opportunities in life and besides being able to face the mirror more often .
I feel that outside experience is very much important still in this world. and people based their impression of our character basically in first meeting in how we look on how we dress and how we carry ourselves. and that if we don't good looks or appearance to show that people will have bad impression of us. and this kind of experience brings pressure not only to me but to many people as well to look good as much as possible.
how much of your looks is the basis on how you like yourself.

I can't agree with u more. Although nowadays inner beauty is advocated, it is undeniable that many people still judge u by your appearance. At least, I am unlikely to ignore others' thoughts about me. Actually, they affect me to a larger extent. I think the beauty makes people feel happy and comfortable and it seems that they always have more good chances than ordinary people. In fact, the beauty can get more concern and preference. It is really unfair, isn't it? But it is the reality we have to face. So if I look better, i will indeed feel confident and certainly love myself more!

The one which could bring beauty to a person is her personality and her positive outlooks in life. Then, bring a vibrant smile-like a magnet it bring people to get closer to you. Smiles, gentle manner and good upbringing always could make you look pretty then with your good attitude. surely any person will end up as a winner..

I think i am 100 percent agreed with you.Ofcourse if we look much better than what we are we would love ourselves much more than what we do now, and so will our poor lame husbands.I think looks are everything, they really gives us confidence i think i have always lack my confidence just due to this and thats why i always keep striving to look better and loose much more possible weight ever.

Hi hotsummer,
I think all people would feel the same. That's why they have mirror everywhere. If they didn't care much about their look then they wouldn't care to have a mirror especially in their room or bathroom.
And that's why we always to wear a nice cloth. We always try to impress others and we are more confident in doing it if we are well-dressed.
But sometimes we dress according to the function requirement or where we think that is acceptable.
If we look at 2 different type of peoples, we tend to give our vote to a well-dressed or nice look one. Even if that sometimes is a misleading clue.

I like myself if i have the brain even if i am not so beautiful. We do not need to look so beautiful to feel confident with ourself. It is how we carry ourself to look presentable. It is very important to be beautiful inside to reflect on the outside you. I am not the type of person who pleases people with my outside looks, I want people to appreciate me with my wit, brain, good deeds. As long as i look presentable and neat, i am confident to myself.

I agree with you; although you should 'always love yourself for who you are', I would definitely have more confidence if I looked better or dressed better. People can't judge you by what you look like or what you wear, but it's the first thing they see. It might take a while for them to know your true personality.
