Website members counter?

Hello everyone, to make this quick i'm starting my own GPT site and the script that i have do not come with a members counter that shows total number of people that has joined the site. My question is where can i find the code or software with instructions on how to install this counter? I find hit counters all over the net, but can not find one for total members joined. Any feedback will be appreciated.
