I never had a cellphone until about 7 yrs ago, so I was 57, lol. My grandchildren all have cellphones and the youngest is 14, which I do think is too young, but it's up to the parents.

I was very young, cell phones just started to appear in my country and the money plans for them were very expensive. From an aesthetic point of view, it was like wielding a brick that could be used in self-defense during an attempted wallet snatching / car jacking. The battery was the largest part of the mobile phone with a screen and text that required a telescopic lens. Predictive text did not exists and sms was like running a marathon with your fingers. The phone did well to strengthen my arms. Oh, it didn't have a pouch, I'd call it a back-pack..

i think i was 15 or 16. i was already in highschool and the cellphone was a hand-me-down from my sister who was in college that time.
