Most of good reliable sites have implemented an tool right next to password text input which shows an aproximation of password strenght. Also, more an more sites allow password to contain special chars lije & ^ % $ # @ and more. Usually, a password is strenght enough if: - have at least 8 characters - 10-12 I personally recommend; - have at least one figure; - have at least one capital letter; - have one special character, if site allow it; - change it often, at impredictible intervals. I can not tel;l you how I mak'em or how I manage to remember them, but I will share how one friend of mine used to build a strong password and easy to remember: - choose a +10 word about or related to something you can remember easy (the domain, not the word), for example you used to play warcraft - think of a place on that virtual world, lets say Kalimdor. Add to it username of one friend, let's say strongking01. Mix-em: strongkalimdor, for example. Choose one letter to be replaced with a figure, lets say o = 0. Choose a letter to be used capital, lets say k = K. New pass = str0ngKalimd0r. Another way is: Choose a word, something is not related to you, family or work. Let's say .. jharkhand :-P Now, choose a letter to replace with a figure, let's say d = 4. Choose a letter to use it's capital, let's say first letter, j = J. now, while spell the word, press the NEXT KEY IN RIGHT of each letter. Yor password will be :Kjstljsm4. You must remember the name, first letter is capital, last is "4", replaced with next letter on right on keyboard. Want more ? :-))

I have so many account accumulated over the years and it is impossible for me to remember it all. Before I use one master password then incorporate a particular word from the site so when it comes to length it is a long one, I say its pretty much strong. But now I use an account manager tool to remember it all and auto generate random characters and symbols password I couldn't be any stronger than that. I just use copy/paste to log into my account, awkward at first but I soon get the hangs of it. By the way my account manager stores my list in a secure encrypted manner.
