To "old" to be in Mylot? I don t think so; maybe he is to young....

I saw so different ages in Mylot, of course that people like to hide theirs age, but not all.
Are people who say very frank; i have 60 years old; i admire people like this so much...is not shame to be mature and like to be to internet, in special in this site.
In one day a boy, 19 years old send a message to me here, and because don t was agree with one of my discussion, say to me of course that want to offence me; Hey lady, you are to old to be here; and my question is; to 40 i must don t be here? Of course that he was rude just to revenge, but i really apreciate mature and very young people who try to be in this site, try to share opinions, try to learn, try to give advices;
So, i am to old to be here? i don t feel that i am to old...any way, who don t like my age is free to go in a SITE FOR KIDS

Oh, Icesmile! How right you are!
I saw a similar post, and I thought it was ridiculous. I'm proud to be 62, and that's not what most people think of as old at all! I neither look, act not feel that age, and that's what matters. I don't want to be a kid again, but I'm far from too old for this site! Several of my friends on the site are very young, and wonderful!

I am also proud of you cobrateacher . . . I like those who are above fifty or sixty who are technologically advance. ... if my mother is still alive, I'm sure she could not comprehend or will not learn the basic computer operation . . . I wish to be still computer or technoligically literate even if I am already old.

I don't think so either. I think everybody has the right to be doing anything no matter what the ages are.
That kid sounded very rude and I think you just can ignore this crap, people like to try to get people mad for absolute no reason. I always see you do lots of nice posts here, I love to respond to your discussions, just keep up with your good work, for those people , just treat me invisable.

With age comes both knowledge and experience and my personal train of thought is that Mylot is for everyone young or old, everyone has an opinion and everyone has valuable input whether you are 19 or 90. In fact if I need advice, support or help then I appreciate the responses I get, age is NOT a factor, what has age got to do with it at all, it just a number and besides someone who has been on this good earth for 60 years has got 60 years of good, solid experience and that is precious and invaluable in helping others.

I do not think you are too. Actually, no one is too old for mylot! That's why they say myLot is for everyone who can use a computer and has an internet connect. I seen a few others that are older than you and they are still going strong here. I think that he is too young and immature to be here. I bet he's not even really 19 years old. Anyway, do not mind him. You are right not to feel old and he should leave if people's ages are a concern. Don't feel too bad and happy mylotting!

no of course not.. mylot is for everyone... all people come here not to just earn money... as you can see... you can't earn huge money from mylot, though many will say its a waste of time... but then people come here for other reason... like they only want to participate discussion share their feelings and thought... though for kids or younger generations, they will see this as a money earning site that can help them get some money specially if they dont have job yet... some come here for fast time only.. like the one that i read.. he said his country did covered with as one of the paying country.. but he choose to have post even if he will not earn any bcoz he can see that he can express out here... too bad coz others took some post here personally, for infact this is just but purely discussion and not a debate..

I am fairly young but i don't think that anyone is too old to be on this site. the point of having a "discussion board" type site is to get a variety of opinions and that would include the wisdom that older people who have experience much more can share with us.

One of the main reasons to participate in a site like MyLot is to learn from people who are not just like yourself. You can learn by talking with people from a different country, race, ethnic background or age. If a person only wants to hear from people exactly like themselves, they limit their opportunity to learn and grow. A person does not learn much talking to yourself.

I agree with you. Sites like mylot don't really have an age tag attached, and one of the things that makes them interesting is really the diversity - in cultures, ages etc.
Thankfully there aren't that many members like the one you encountered, but to the ones that share his/her opinion I would be tempted to give the same advice " then go to a kid's site".

i find people in my lot, whether young or old, to be smart and has lots of patience. because if they are not - they will easily surrender especially when they dont reach the payout at a certain day.
but here we are, enjoying each other's company and the knowledge that each one share.. and do you feel it? we care for each other.

This is a big silly, we are not here because of our age, we are because of what we want know, to learn, to know cultures and peoples, what is age?just a number; who can t accept that all peoples, no religions, cultures, ages or skin color maybe is good to try to find a "cheap" place, where can enjoy with "kids" as you say.

Well, there are some people who had their problems. but i think age is not an issue when there's some disagreements. it's actually the attitude and how the user thinks of the world and this community. well, there was a user who went a-wall just to spread her own disappointment to her own problems. she's ok now and has repent.

Well the answer is definitely not, we are not too old to be here. However, I did feel a bit uncomfortable in the beginning not because of mylotters here, rather my other internet friends in forums and blogs whom I frequented, and whom I intended to refer them here when I join myLot. I consider age, the place where we live to be personal information, thus should not be published openly. But if it is the terms and rules of myLot, I have to accept it... so I decided that I won't refer them here. Power to the seniors, that includes me! LOL

I agree that maybe he is to young, for some reason they think it is an insult. That we will take it as such and be hurt. Im proud of my age and honestly feel in a community like this we are an asset as we have been thru more then a young person. If they were so mature they wouldnt feel the need to do something like that either in my opinion.

Mylot is a fun site for people of all of ages. There are students here idscussing workload and going to university, there's parents discussing how to raise children, movie lovers discussing movies and many other random topics. It's great that there's such a great variations of topics on mylot that makes it suitable for everyone.

You are only as old as you feel, and if you don't mind it doesn't matter. I think that anyone that wants to come in here and can be sensibel and not be rude, have a right to be in here . I am 61, and I am proud ot if. Some days I feel older, but then we probabaly all have those days. To tell someone they are to old to be in here is just nuts, and rude. I wouldn't pay him no mind, as he has a lot of growing up to do, that is for sure. Once he does grow up then he will realize that what he said holds no merit whatsoever. Those kind of people, I have no use for, if I want to keep my sanity. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

wow yeah i don't think there is any wrong age for mylot. i'm 16 and i think i'm pretty grown up and mature for any conversation and a few times i get responses to my questions saying "i think your too young for me to talk about this kind of stuff with you." i hate when people say that so i understand how you feel because there doing the reverse thing to you. so i don't think your too old to be on this site i think you stay and forget about what other people say.

First things first.....Age is a state of mind. I don't believe that there is anyone too old to be on MyLot. I do however believe that there are probably some people on here that are to young and immature to be on here. I also feel that there is no reason to be rude and disrespectful to anyone here on MyLot or any other website for that matter. We are all here to give input on one thing or another and help each other out if possible. So, if you want to be part of the community I believe that you should be respectful, mature and courteous to your fellow MyLotter. Thank you and I hope this brings some closure to the being "to OLD" to be in MyLot.
