do you purposefully skip the left ring finger? This is especially a question for single women. When I was younger I never gave it a thought, but now days I do. And yes it is because I know people look. Because I do when I meet a man I might find attractive. That is the first thing I look for is a ring on their left finger. So a question for you guys....do you look at a woman's left ring finger to see if she is wearing a ring there? ANd do you automatically think she is taken?

No, I don't purposefully skip the left ring finger, but then again I'm married! LOL My husband doesn't always wear his wedding ring though. His fingers tend to swell in his line of work, especially during the busy season, making his ring too tight to wear. It's just as well as it can be a dangerous thing to wear any kind of jewelry with the kind of job he has, even a wedding ring, so for his safety it's best if he doesn't wear it at all. However, the ladies, at least one that I know of, noticed this about my husband when she first met him. Apparently she thinks he's single because he's not wearing his ring, even though he told her straight up that he is married. I don't think she believes him though! LOL Just because a man doesn't wear a wedding ring doesn't automatically mean he is single. Just remember that the next time you look at their fingers! LOL Happy mylotting!

Sometimes, I did look. Because I don't want to take over someone's wife. That is a sin. So, I make sure she is not married, and I might make my move. That is one of the basic requirement I want. So, check it out, before you make a move on a lady.

I do purposefully skip the left ring finger pretty much for the same reasons you mentioned. If i am not married i shouldn't be sending off the wrong message.

I am single, and I do not purposely skip that finger. But, in all fairness, I wear outlandishly large cocktail style rings that could never be confused with any type of wedding band or engagement ring, so maybe that's why I don't really think of it...
