Do you think that it still exists? and have you ever been a victim of it? i know it still exists and have been a victim of it.

I know and believe it still exists. Not only to black people, sometimes white people can be a victim also. I think to all races in this world. But what bothers me sometimes is when people accuse you for being racist when you are really not. For example when you tell a person about their mistake and pointed it to them when it is really their fault, they will just turn it around and then accuse you, saying that you are only trying to poke them and that you are a racist. When you are a victim of racism, you have to stand up for yourself when you know you are right. And never feel down when people do that to you, it is their bad, not yours.

Thank goodness that racism isn't that bad in my country. Among the 13 states in my country I am in the least racist state and thank goodness for that. Some states are quite racist and some of my friends who went over to further their studies went through a harsh moment with the people there and it is not very welcoming at first but slowly they adapted to the situations and surroundings. I don't see the benefits of being racist after all. There is nothing but hatred all around.

It does exists strongly.Ho can we explain the attack on the Indian students in Australia.I think that the authorities of any country should not allow any person from another country if they do not like them and if they are unable to give proper protection to them and should be ready to be treated the same way in the affected person's country too.

Yes, racism still exists. I think most of us have experienced this ugly prejudice at one time or another--no matter our background. One of the most insideous aspects of racism is that it has a way of turning its victims into its practitioners. Once racism "attacks," it settles into the psyche of the victim and makes it easier for him/her to justify practicing racism in the other direction. I do think that, at least on a public level, we have managed to make racism disreputable and unacceptable. In most venues, it is no longer practiced as a virtue rather than a vice. We have made small, incremental progress in pushing back the barriers erected by racism. But we have a long way to go. We have seen the problem, and it is us.

I don't think it exist but that is because I don't believe in "races" and no "scientific" evidence can be used to seperate people who are nothing more than human. I do however, believe in prejudice and would use that in the context of your discussion. I have been a victim of it when I first entered college. At some times I feared for my life. I think it is absolutely stupid to find reason to dislike someone becuase they are "different" but I feel the problem is that they were being taught that they are "normal". The negative view of being "different" being changed may help but it can't fix everything.
