Hi malpoa, we don't get that channel here but I used to watch Nigella Lawson when she was on the television in England. I loved her laid back approach to cooking and the way she was in herself, including her children and her late husband John Diamond in her shows. I have most of her cook books which I use often.

Sounds like you'd like it over here malpoa, oregano, or rigani as we call it, is the national herb or that's what it feels like, they throw it on everything, on top of cheese, salad, meat, and I hate the stuff. I always have to remember to order everything without rigani. I have Nigella's cute pale blue lemon squeezer, I bought it in England. With her recipes it's pretty easy to substitute one ingredient for another. Did you know that there is a spicy seed called 'Nigella seeds' which she had a big stock of when she found them. I believe they come under several names and are used in Asian cooking.

Yes yes i know nigella seeds. We use it here in our cooking. But I think the name's origin is from Britan may be... It was in Nigella's Kitchen that I saw sso many new kitchen appliances like the spatula for cooking and serving pasta...It looks like her kitchen and her store room comprises ofmore than 500sq feet!!! No seriously! It is true that most of her dishes are do-able and not complicated. I havent seen the diffrent shapes and colours of icing for cakes in markets here. There are so many things I learned from that show. When my husband goes abroad for work, i ask him to buy things for kitchen, but he finds it difficult to look for these things. Also it becomes difficult in an unknown city..but I hope to have a well rquipped kitchen like her one day, but not so big of course...
