Baby P Killers get a five year prison sentence

Im sure many of you on here have heard about the case of "Baby P" here in the UK For those who dont i will explain a little since i cannot post a link yet. The parents of baby P, tortured their child, they beat him so severely that his little body couldnt take it anymore and he died, he was only a baby, not even 2 years old. There was a big to do as the social services had this child on their risk register, yet they failed to pick up on just how badly this child was treated. Im sure you can find out more and read into it further by using google of you wish or perhaps someone who is able may post a link about it. Today these parents have been given a five year prison sentence for what they have done. Do you think that justice has been served? Do you think five years is a sufficent sentence for thetorture and killing of a child?

it should be life for both of them. the five year is a minimum for the mother (the stepfather got 12 years) but for goodness sake it should have been life without the possibility of release. here's the most recent bbc link i could find http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8180822.stm

Only 5 years? I am shocked at such a light sentence. They should be sentenced to live without the chance of getting out. I do hope that some of the other inmates decide to take matters into their own hands and make their lives living hell while they are in there!

I know right? If our people can't deal such low blows, convicts sure can!

One thing that really makes me made when it comes to just life, like school fights, friendly squabbles, is when people don't fight fair. I'm the type of person that belives in letting the attacked person defend themselves (Except with the case I mentioned in my last response, about the runaway brother). What kind of chance did this kid have? None. None Whatsoever.
