I was walking to the store today, and this guy in this like pimped out convertible pulled over and started hitting on me, calling me pretty, cute, blah blah blah, he pulled out all the lines, and the entire time I am just walking and I said "oh thank you", then he asks for my number and I say "no, I have a boyfriend", but he still would not give up . He did finally, and I went about my walking. Part of me was flattered though because the guy was attractive, so it made me feel good looking . Have you ever had random people ask for your number? How do you react? Does it make you feel flattered and good about yourself?

Oh my goodness he is just a collector. Never give your number to random stranger. you know the term stalker? That's what this could turn into.

It is pretty flattering but also a bit awkward. Once I did give my phone number to this guy because I didn't know how to turn him down and he turned out to be a creep and wouldn't stop calling me. I only give him my cellphone he he wouldn't be able to find out where I lived but it was still annoying. I will take good care of my number in the future.

If someone did that to me, I'd tell him to f*ck off!! I don't find that flattering in the least bit, especially when the guy persists when I've said no. What makes these idiots think that "no" means "try again?" I hope the next girl he does this to, rearranges his face!!

It is flattering and does seem to give me more self esteem. When someone insists on getting your number give them one of the phone numbers from the rejection hotline! http://www.rejectionhotline.com/ it is too funny! If someone asks why you don't have an area code that is local, just tell them you just moved from somewhere else!
