The Firefox browser has gone on to version 3.6 Alpha. One of its new features if Tab Preview, where we can see a thumbnail preview of a tab.
I am not excited over this, because Opera has tab preview function long before this. Not only that, a tab on Opera can be extended vertically, so we can see what website is on a tab without using the mouse to preview a tab.
On the plus side it shows that the Firefox team do look at what the competitors are doing. This will probably spur more creative ideas and functionality in other browsers.
Anyone wanting to read a review on it can go to

What do you think of the changes in Firefox? What I would like to see is a greater security, at least on par with Opera. They should also be more innovative. Until then it will not be my default browser.

Have you downloaded and try it for your self? So finally we'll see that visual tab preview proposed as far back as 3.0. My 3.5.2 has improved load and exit time compared to earlier version and 3.6 will even be more faster? Great! according to your link its javascript processing will also improve. I'm download the portable version of it now and will see. Thanks for sharing.

I am testing it.
As you may already found out, it is faster than the previous version. I have not tested it with the number of tabs that I usually open, but so far the speed is impressive.
As for the tab preview it is still a hassle for ordinary users. Currently we have to change the configuration. Then we have to use two keys, Ctrl and Tab. Compare this with Opera, where users need to hover the mouse pointer over a tab to get a preview.
The way I see it the increase in speed will attract many users. Many current add ons are compatible with the current version. The tab preview is useful to those who like to open many tabs.

Wow it literary pops out even before the splash screen is done. I hope it stays this way after I loaded all my favorite addon and when it finally comes out. You are right about the tab preview, it is cumbersome to setup and use, Opera does it better. Tab bar now will show scroll buttons for quick tab navigation and with the flashy sliding effect. Well these for now, got to test it more.
For 3.6 I'm very happy enough for the start up speed improvement the rest would be just like icings in the cake.

Firefox 3.6 Alpha (Namoroka) is not ready for heavy use. Opening more than 10 tabs will cause some lag while loading a website. I think the Mozilla team has a lot to do on the use of memory issue. Either they learn from Opera, or find a better solution.
There is a big possibility that Firefox Namoroka will pull many users away from IE.
