I got stung by a Scorpian!!

Yesterday I was reaching into my Avon box to get a new book for my customer and a scorpian latched onto my middle finger and stung me! It really hurt, as you can imagine. We live in Florida (near Ocala) and have had over a dozen scorpians in and around this house (we moved into this place in January of this year). My 5 year old got stung on the foot about a month ago. I hate them! I was told to spray anything that kills normal creepy crawlys around the house. We did but they are still here. Luckily the scorpians in Fl are non-poisonous but that doesn't make it hurt any less! Have you ever been stung by a scorpian? Do you have any tips on finding out where they are coming in my house? Any tips on getting rid of them? Help!

Your discussion brought back memories of my own unpleasant memories of when I was bitten by a scorpion many years ago, waters. I was still living in a rural area of Tennessee at the time, and was sitting on our screened front porch one night when my bite occurred. That was actually my first time seeing one of the critters, but when I described it to my uncle he knew what it was. I had to be taken to the hospital emergency room and given some kind of shot - just in case it was poisonous!
I never saw another one, and moved away from the area about a year later. It would be nice if there was some kind of trap in which to catch them.
