Is anyone in national US politics any scummier than Ted Kennedy?

He has been caught at almost every scandal that has cost other politicians their jobs. He is a womanizer, drug use, drunk, corrupt, on the take, bought and paid for murderer.
He is the embodiment of everything liberals claim to be against.. yet he is a liberal hero.
He must thank his lucky stars that his brothers were assassinated, it earned him a senate career.

The funny thing is, Teddy is so far left that Jack would have never voted for him. Teddy is the kind of career politician that really gives the whole concept a bad name. Lots of people love him, but usually because he has bestowed some favor of funding or government upon them. He's that kind of guy.

Yes I do believe he has been in the senate so long because he has skirted along on his brothers name. And the Kennedy name. He was smart enough not to run for president as he would of ended up the same way as his brothers. Or do you believe that the 60's was just an era the killing of King and the Kennedys and he would of been left alone.

I think it kills him that he never got to be president. He did run once, in 1980, but didn't make it passed the primaries. Chapaquiddick came back to haunt him then. I doubt as president, he would have rocked enough boats to attract bullets.
