Ok, here's the thing; lately there seem to be many discussions on the new proposed health care bill - not surprisingly since this is a very serious issue. But here is my question for you, if you are going to respond to the discussions either for or against the bill, have you actually read it? There were a lot of complaints that congress needed time to read it before they voted on it, so shouldn't we read it also and then give an educated opinion on it one way or the other?
You can find a current copy of the bill at this link:

Just curious how many people have actually read the bill.

Well only 3 of the 4 bills that have been introduced, and all will be changed! So which bill are you referring to? So it's very premature to discuss any of them at this stage, why fret and get burned out now? Save for when they start nailing it down, the doubters will get their say even the minority has a voice in the good ole' USA!

If we hadn't have pressured our elected officials when we did, the bill would have been singed into law by now.

The thing is that if we don't try to keep up with what is actually in the bill, and let our congressmen know what we think about it then how do we expect to actually make anything any better? All that will happen in the end is bigger government which is definitely not the answer to all our problems!

So far I have 15 hours into it. It reads kind of like a Stephen King novel but scarier. I am truly against this legislation. I can not pin point one part. I believe this will take away our right to choose. It is also taking things that are already being doen - end of life counseling, advanced directives, DNRs, etc, that our Doctors are doing now, and having a bureaucrat do it. This scares me. Also, Obama is telling us that we will have a choice, but he is forgetting to mention that that choice will only be for a few more years. How about the calculations for getting procedures? My dad is not a formula! This whole things scares the he77 out of me!

I've read parts of it, like when I see someone say on this page is this or that I go and look at it and read if for myself so I know the person who made the statement is explaining the way it actually is written, but no I don't have that kind of time to read every bill. Now for the people in congress that is their job to know what they are voting for and vote in the interest of those who voted them into office. No we should not just blindly believe what we are told but there are places that will point out the pages that need special attention. I wish I could read them all but they keep spitting them out so fast and this cash for clunkers thing I am really sickened by but we really had no time to react.
