Water fruits are generally, safe as the sugar content is diluted. The denser the fruit the more sugar it has. Always a safe bet for any type of health issues with veggies ,is the darker they are in green the better they are for you. They contain lots of fiber to soak up anything else you may have eaten with them. Before it digests and converts into the blood sugar. Many websites to educate you fully on what to do and not to do as far as eating goes. I am just speaking from experience, with the fruits and veggies ,my hubby has high sugar which is under control from proper diet.

Hi there! Cindy is right! Bitter gourd or ampalaya is best for a diabetic patient. But I think all green leafy vegetables are safe to eat for those with diabetes. All vegetables doesn't have lots of sugar in it. What a diabetic patient should know is what they should not eat. It's much easier to figure out what kind of foods are bad for them. Hope that helps. Ciao!
