If you have a time machine, where will you like to go, the future or the past. Can you give your reasons for visiting the past or future. If you get the chance will you like to change the course of History, by visiting the past.(Some thing like stopping the assasination of President Keneddy or Prime Minister Indra Gandhi).

I would like to go to the past only as I am destined to go to the future though slowe than travelling by the time machine. I would like to see the British raj and the Maharajahs in their pomp. Then I will go to see the real Katta bomman and Maruthu brothers who themselves were the pioneers of the freedom fight before the Sepoy mutiny though it is not recorded by the the people in the North India. Then my journey would stop at the court of Akbar the Great.I would like to listen to Tan Sen and meet Anarkali if she is not fictious. My journey would stop at the time of the building of the Great Tanjore Temple and I would allow myself the priviledge of meeting the Raja jaja Chola. What a great moment it would be. My last two places would be the Egypt of Pharos time and Rome and definitely I would like to have a look at Cleopatra. After seeing the Ceaser by God willing I would like to be at the moment the Ceasor ordering Jesus Christ to be crucified. If I can have a look of Jesus I do not want to come back to the present world. That would be the culmination of my journey in life.

A good response balasri, but I beg to differ with you on Kattabomman. Kattabomman was a telugu naicker whose real name was Kattabommalu. He was just a small chieftain in the erstwhile Tirunelveli district. Our people made him a Tamil hero, because there was a shortage of Tamil freedom fighters, and Tamils were the lackeys of the British(Kindly note that I am also a pure Tamilian). I do not know much about Marudu brothers, but Kattabomman was not a Hero, like what he was portrayed in the films. Thanks for the response.

Kindly note that I am not degrading Kattabomman just because he is a telugu. My main point is, he has been made as a Tamil Hero, which he was not because of his mother tongue, second he had an understanding with the French, and when they were not able to help him, he talked peace with the British, and he was paying the taxes and because of his Chief Commanders wrong deeds he had to once again fight against the Nawab of Arcot, where he was defeated. This is one of the information I have got from my father, who was very interested in Tamil History. We had a lot of old books, from where I got this information. If you read those books, you will understand that except for a few people, most of the Indians were colloborating with the British, and people particularly in South India were not much averse to British Rule. This is a bitter truth, which we have accept, because there were no real heroes in S.India like Netahaji S.C.Bose, Mahathma Gandhi, Vallabhai Patel, Pandit Nehru or Maulana Azad. We had only the Justice party which was a stooge of the British or people like Sir C.P.Ramaswamy Iyer, who was the uncrowned King of Travancore.I will be very happy to know more about Kattabomman as well as other Tamil Heroes who fought the British. I would once again, like to mention that I am not degrading anybody, but just writing in anguish about our people.

Your response is quite interesting.I am curious to know th name of the books that can substantiate that this Kattabomman's connivance with the French and his figting with the Nawab of Arcot.I am always like to go into the mysteries of the histories which were written in a biased manner. It is a pity that there are so many interpretaions of history particularly the Tamilians. And thanks a lot for the BR.

Nice thought. So you only want to go to the past. Why dont you want to see the future, dont you want to see what you children are doing and how is India say after 50 to 75 years ? Thanks for responding.

Hi rameshkumaar, I think it would be interesting to visit either but would probably choose the future. I also love history so the past would be intriguing as well. I would not try to change anything about the past because everything is so interconnected that to change one thing would mean a complete change in history over which we would have no control. Don't get me wrong, I feel very bad about the deaths of John F Kennedy and Indra Gandhi as well as hundreds of others, but changing even one thing in history could have far reaching consequences. Blessings.

Quite right Pose123, it is not right on anybodys part to change History. As you have rightly mentioned, one is inter connected to another, and to change one thing might lead to a calamity. Thanks for the response.

Given a time machine, I think I'd like to go back to where and when Socrates lived. I'd like to see for myself things there and then before the so-called high-tech happened to the human world. I'd like to breathe the air then and talk to the people there about life, dreams and everything else.

First,I think history is great great things,I alway consider that things happened that it is true.If I have a time machine, maybe I will go to the past to see the real history,to see the great nature in the past,to feel the great power of time. But I will not to change anything, just be a spectator. And I will travel to the future, to find what I look like when I am old.

If I have a time machine, I will not go to the past because I am happy with what and where I am right now. I would prefer to go to the future. There's a lot of things I can do by doing that you know. First is see what will happen and then I can avoid any bad things. Second if to get every gambling results such as the lottery numbers so that I can come back and play or buy all the winning numbers. Then I would want to see what business is going to be so successful and then come back and start one. Thinking about it now and smiling, I wish that can really happen.
