I love reading and do most of it on the train to and from work as the journey takes almost an hour each way. I have am reading the Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood, which I started just yesterday. Already I am hooked, I love Atwood's style of writing, it really draws the reader in. I am quite confused as the dates and characters jump around between chapters, but it is gradually unravelling the story of several connected lives. I have read other books by this author before, my favourite being Cat's Eye. I would be very interested to know what you are currently reading, where you do most of your reading and any recommendations you may have.

Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet is one I just finished and is one of the best books I've ever read and at 61yrs old, I've read my share! It's one of those you can;t get out of your mind after becoming so immersed in the story! It's 1000 pages and to this day I can;t figure how these writers keep track of all the characters they create. Again I give this a ten! I've not started a new one yet but have a couple in mind! tdemex

Don't laugh at Wolfie but currently I am reading Harry Potter, 'Half Blood Prince' the 6th book, I have read it obviously before but after seeing the film which I thought was rather disappointing I wanted to re-read the book and I have to say that I much prefer the book to the film on this occasion. Most of my reading tends to be either fantasy, horror or detective novels. I do most of my reading in bed when it's quiet and night, I find that I am easily distracted so if there is noise I cannot read.

There is nothing wrong with reading Harry Potter. There is some things in the books that children would not get but are intended for a more mature audience. Keep reading. The movies are always less appealing than the books.

Absolutely nothing wrong with reading Harry Potter, I have read them all and thoroughly enjoyed them - surely the most important thing about reading!

I had just started reading Terry Prachett's "Mort". A book from the "Discworld" series. These books are quite silly. hehehe. This is the first in the series that i've gotten hold of. I love to read and i read just about anywhere! In the car, in my bedroom, in a coffee shop... I can't live with out books!

I'm reading The Blind Assassin as well and I too find the chronological order confusing. I've been thinking about reading the James Bond series by Ian Flemming, but I don't really know if they're any good. The Mark Twain autobiography just came out, so that should keep me busy for awhile. I've also invested in a copy of The God of Small Things and White Teeth.

Right now I'm reading a book called 59 Seconds by Richard Wiseman. An interesting human nature/how the mind thinks type of book. Quite enjoying it.

I am currently reading Quirkology by Richard Wiseman. I also like Margaret Atwood and have read The Blind Assissin as well as Cat's Eye and enjoyed them both. My favourite Atwood book would be a toss up between The Handmaids Tale and Alias Grace.

I just finished Skinwalker by Faith Hunter. Its a vampire novel. I read a lot of the vampire, werewolf, witch novels. Lots of Kim Harrison, and Patricia Briggs and such. Right now, however, I am about to start the Lovely Bones since the movie is coming out soon. A friend of mine recommended it to me.

I love to read also and have been for over 20 years...and a book is always near or around me. I am currently reading Black Hills by Nora Roberts. She is one of my favorite authors and I am enjoying this one very much. I read anywhere and everywhere. In the car, at home, in the bedroom, outside, wherever. My recommendations: Black Hills - Nora Roberts Vision in White by Nora Roberts The Virgin River series by Robyn Carr Just Breathe by Susan Wiggs Sisters Choice by Emilie Richards Magic in the Wind by Christine Feehan (and her Drake Sisters series)

I am currently reading "Internet Riches" from American Management Association (AMACOM books) written by Scott Fox. It reveals the simple money making secrets of online millionaires. My first impression of the book was, I thought it was like any other books out there written to just fool us about online money making. But as I progress with my reading, I am amazed. It under-promised, but it over-delivers!
